Went here based on recommendation of friends. Good selection of beer and other beverages. Waitress (?owner) friendly and made several recommendations. Takes time to get your food as it is all freshly made. Plan to sit back and relax. Enjoyed the sandwiches on fresh crusty bread. Flat bread pizza was excellent. There is a little gallery upstairs of paintings. Only... More

This place used to be a bustling cafe, popular with the locals with beautiful art on the walls, local producers highlighted, books upstairs, mini gallery, wine tastings, etc. I haven't been back in 5 years and the place has drastically changed with the new owners - they still had a similar sandwich menu (easy to make I guess) and had... It was a pleasant surprise to discover Caffe Peroni managed by a husband and wife team. It is hard to categorize the venue. It is a combination of a bakery, deli, ice-cream parlor, and bistro in a charming old building. The bread baked at the cafe is outstanding. We tried salad for lunch, which was nice. The menu has home... More

Stopped by mid afternoon on a Saturday while travelling from Asheville to home. Parked off the main street in a municipal lot at the farmers market pavilion. Enter through what turned out to be the back door and I think we surprised the owner. He was attentive and ensured we got a great seat by the window in the empty... More

We walked in to the waitress informing us it would be about 15 minutes due to being so busy. Really 3 tables no more than 2 at each. Okay, I guess we will wait. She brings us our team then upon refills, tells us they are out of sweet tea and she is too busy to make more. ( it... More

Caffe Perini is a little gem hidden away in South Boston. Chef and owner Saul did everything he could to make our dinner special. There were 7 of us and we had some gluten free and vegetarian orders, so he tailored our orders to fit that. As others have said, this is not fast food. This is more like we... More

This is one of several very good eating places in small South Boston, Virginia. The place is chef-owned and he prepares evening meals for you from scratch. Consequently it takes awhile. As they say, this is not, after all, fast food. Four of us had lunch which is not quite so specialized. The pizza with cheese and salmon was very... More

A must-visit restaurant for a unique, personal experience. Homemade Gelato with genuine Italian ingredients. Everything is cooked to order, so wait times may be longer than expected, but is absolutely worth the wait.
