The restaurant was only open for carry-out during our stay, but was right next to the hotel we were staying so that wasn't any issue. Service was friendly and both the pizza and bread sticks were good. Prices are cheap for a pizza place. One...of the locals shared with us that the restaurant has been owned by the same family for 50+ years so that's kind of a neat piece of trivia. It's always nice to support small businesses.More
My wife and I stayed next door at the Western Front Hotel this past week and most food service was cancelled due to Covid-19. The owners of Giovanni's took pity on us and opened their doors after hours to cook us a pizza for dinner;...which was fabulous. We ate there for the next three days for breakfast and had another night for pizza.
The owners and brother were great to us and treated us like old friends, yet we only meet hours before.
The food tasted great and was much enjoyed by the fire pit or on the terrace of the Western Front Hotel.More
Small restaurant and nice and friendly people. They do a great business in carry out. We waited about 30 mins to receive our food. I had to tell them I was going to leave and then we got service very quickly. The owner apologized and...offer to comp our meal and we refused. We understand small business work very hard and need to be paid.More
The wife and I nervously sat down in this little restaurant and ordered a large pizza. We had both gazed in at the kitchen and were pleased with how clean it was, so we felt comfortable we wouldn't be running to the bathroom after lunch....In conversation with the waitress, we found out the restaurant is run by three generations of family, the waitress being the youngest generation. When we got our Pizza, WOW. It literally melted in your mouth. Not to much sauce, loads of cheese, hand tossed crust in butter, and blended extremely well. The Pizza was so good we got two more to take home for the kids.More
This place looked like it had never been cleaned since it has been opened. And you talk about greasy food every thing on their menu came with a side of grease including the drinks because it was on the glass.
My husband & I recently visited south western Va. We stayed in Saint Paul for 2 nights. Now there aren't a lot of restaurants in St. Paul, we decided to try to local Giovanni's. The food was average, I got baked spaghetti, my husband got...lasagna. Our salads were large & they were very good. The young waitress was very friendly.More
