Great BBQ in the mountains of Virginia! Great spot in such a small town. Portions are HUGE and quality is good. We did take out but they also offer a limited number of tables for onsite dining. The staff are pleasant and like to kid...around. Try the heart attack potato, you won't regret it!More

Go hungry! The prices could be DOUBLE for what you get - so much food!! Nice staff! We watched them cook the BBQ the day before. It was delicious. Opened Thursday. Try the Heart Attack!

My husband and I popped in to this restaurant for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the food. The owner was friendly and chatted with us about the area. He created a very welcoming environment for our first stop in Saint Paul :) The BBQ is delicious...and the sides are just as good. Come hungry, the portions are very generous. Prices are great value too for what you get. If you stop in town, Fat Boy's is definitely a must-stop!More

This place is the best BBQ for miles around. He actually smokes his BBQ right outside unlike most places. You can't beat the heart attack or BBQ sliderd. The sides are fabulous down to the homemade pasta salad.

We spend a whole lotta time driving backroad America. We also spend a whole lot time eating barbecue. When I say that Fat Boy's pulled-pork sandwich is among the top 5 I've ever had -- NC, SC, Va., Fl, you name it -- I am...not exaggerating. PERFECTLY moist. Flavor just right. If I didn't live 842 miles away, I';d go here for lunch every day for the rest off my life.More

They call this Virginia charm. Old tables and chairs. Funny signs on the wall. Funny (not really) people work here. But the reason you come here is the FOOD.......... no knives are offer to you because the meat falls off the bone. This is the...place where you use your fingers. I am from Texas and I know great Bar B Que, and this was the beat I have ever eaten.More

My son and two of his friends and I stopped at Fatboys BBQ after spending the day riding dirt bikes. We arrived right at 8pm and the restaurant closed at 8 but they were happy to serve us. The food was excellent!! Sooner if the...best BBQ anywhere!! The service was even better!! Genuine, good people, who seemed to enjoy what they were doing!! I'm planning a trip back with my wife. I haven't stopped talking about it!!More

This is my second visit to FatBoy's. I live in Florida and whenever we go up to Virginia, we make sure to stop at FatBoy's. The BBQ is great, the service is great, and St Paul is a great little Appalachian town. I've had the...Heart Attack both visits, and the next time I go, I'll try the brisket. My husband and I love going there.More

This is a truly hidden gem. The restaurant looks like the typical Deep South BBQ place with memorabilia on the walls and a stereo system from the 80's playing 70's rock. We sat and were greeted by the waitress, who took our drink order by...stating that they had Coke products and sweet tea, "none of that unsweetened stuff." The menu was typical, boasting pulled pork and chicken bbq sandwiches along with ribs. They also have something called a Heart Attack, which is a potato with bbq, cheese, and the works. My partner and I each had a pulled pork bbq sandwich, which is a weakness of mine. This was hands-down the best bbq I have ever eaten. Everything they serve is made in house and the recipes are the cook's. You will not get this from a chain.More
