Went there many times over the last 10 years and the food keeps getting worse each time. Where do they get their seafood from? The waitresses are slow and have selective hearing :)

We went in after driving for quite sometime. We were Hungary and ready to eat. We both felt like seafood and when we saw the name Awful Arther's my wife said, "with a name like Awful Arthur it has to be good". First I got a glass of Cabernet which tends to be a safe red wine. It tasted like... More

This restaurant was one of several recommended to me by the bellman at the Hotel Roanoke. While not a fancy or upscale place (more like a sports bar atmosphere), the food was excellent. My wife and I each had the chowder which was a little too creamy but delicious. She had the salmon tacos while I had the jambalaya. Both... More

I stopped in to Awful Arthur's before seeing a play at the Mill Mountain Theater. The food was excellent, as was the service. I always order fish and chips when I go to a new (to me) seafood restaurant. I enjoyed the fish and chips and my friend with me had a great meal as well. I'd recommend it!

Waitress was nice. I was there on business with a colleague and she asked if we wanted to split a bowl of bisque with two spoons. Awkward! But anyway, some food was OK, some was downright bad. The crab bisque is dishwater bad, the oysters on the half-shell were nice and fresh. Cajun shrimp ettouffee was terrible. Just ate some... More

The daily steamer deals make this an excellent choice for a work travel dinner locale. The tasty seafood is served with a great beer selection in a down to earth atmosphere.

Food was great! I had oysters and a seared tuna salad. My co-workers had black & blue tuna and the keystone pasta. Everyone agreed, food was good! Cheyenne was our server and she was fabulous! Delivered drinks quickly, food followed soon after. She gets 6 stars! Looking forward to coming back here again!

The salmon and the hush puppies were fabulous! But the seafood platter with oysters and scallops was very sad… Scallops had no flavor or grill marks and oysters were tiny little creatures...

If you love sports bars this is the place for you. Food was good and the staff was friendly. Service was a little slow but it was a really busy evening so that's to be expected.

We went to AA this past weekend while visiting Roanoke on business. The place wasn't crowded, and we were seated promptly. Our sever could use some training, but the food was very good! We started with the crab balls and the stuffed mushrooms as appetizers. Both were very good. For our main course we ordered the fried seafood platter, and... More
