Stayed in Roanoke for the night at the Hampton Inn. Went looking for a place to have dinner & found the Harbor Inn. Their motto is: "If it's fresher than mine, it's still in the ocean!" Definite nautical decor with a large hand painted mural. We had a Calamari Platter with cole slaw & french fries $7.95, a 12 oz.... More

Seafood places tend to be quite expensive for the most part . This one isn't cheap but you get a good size portion delivered quickly & is a good value for your money. We had a variety of seafood and we were all pleased with the taste and portion sizes; Scallops, shrimp, fish were on our plate. The variety offered... More

I love sea food. Real sea food like Massachusetts on the coast clams, and fish on an island in Georgia. This being a place with "imports" I expected similar quality but not fresh. Clams are foreign to these people. Oh how I wish they understood the belly is the best part don't cut it off! Anyways a few slice and... More

We ate here both nights while we were in Roanoke in mid-October, 2016 on the basis of several reviews. Some of our seafood places at home have either closed or changed the menu, so a good seafood meal was on our list the first night...and the second night too! The choices were many, from broiled to fried. It was really... More

Always visit this place when I come to town. BIG portions and great prices. I always have the clams strips which I usually split with someone else. The salt and pepper catfish is good and the clam chowder is excellent. Bring a big appetite, be prepared to share or take home leftovers.

Tried them based on reviews and proximity to our hotel. Overall, they are good, not great. The portions were good. The price and selection was good. We're from New England, so the farther we get away from the NE, the harder it is to find seafood that can match. I know it may not be fair, but that is my... More

My husband and I usually stop at Harbor Inn Seafood when we are staying overnight in Roanoke. The food is very good and there is a varied selection of seafood which you can have broiled or fried. The meals come with hush puppies (which I'm not fond of) and two sides. The portions are large. I'm sure we will return.

My husband felt like seafood - so we figured why not try here. We have a place close to home with a very similar decor style and menu choices - but I was very pleased to see the prices were several dollars less for everything (I mean - a fried seafood platter of oysters, flounder, clams, popcorn shrimp, deviled crab,... I had the flounder and it was very good. Clam chowder was good too. You won't leave hungry. Prices are not bad for the amount of food you get. Waitress was very friendly and kept our drinks filled and dishes cleared off table. I will go back.
