We were lucky to strike a warm, sunny Autumn day which made sitting under the grape vine pagoda terrace even more special. From phone booking, a lovely friendly welcome on arrival, exquisite food, to learning about the wines from the owner himself, the entire experience was a real pleasure! (and great value for money!)

Traveled to Martinborough for the day and found this winery along the way. Read a few amazing reviews on TripAdvisor and decided to check it out. We were not disappointed!! The staff were incredibly friendly and the wine list was so detailed. We went for the Rambling Rose and it honestly the best rose I have ever had!! We both... More

The wine tasting when dining is very civilised as they bring the wine is brought to your table. The wine menu is very colourful by way of descriptions and suggestions of food matching. And the food was delightful... I had the crab with creole rice followed by the chocolate hazelnut torte... my better half had the chicken shawms skewers and... More

not the first time we have been here for lunch and, as always, delivered to expectations. This time we opted for a wine tasting a the table which was well worth doing. The wines are superb and the banter from the "irrepressible owner" - otherwise known as Margaret Coney's "lazy husband (from their website) make the experience well worth it. We... More

It is very early autumn, and the day was cool; not really cold. But our booking for 14 was in some sort of outside/inside courtyard where it was really chilly. We were all seated in the normal manner - but there was no offer of drinks (we were at a vineyard) until the last guests arrived. Or indeed, as it... More

Lovely peaceful setting in the countryside just out of Martinborough. Fabulous food, we had the lamb parcels which were very tasty. Tim, the owner served us wine tastings at our table ($5 NZ pp) and was entertaining and easy to talk to.

I hadn't been out to Coney for many years but had a mate staying and it was a beautiful Wairarapa day with no wind!!!! So we headed out to Coney Wines. Running a bit late we rang to be told that they were closing the kitchen earlier, at 2.00pm because they had a wedding in the afternoon. WE arrived just... More
