After a big lunch at 2, we stopped in at 9 for a light supper. Wonderful Caprese salad and pepperoni pizza. Ouside seating attentive staff.

We had the good fortune of enjoying a Catalonian excursion to the Dali museum, located in his hometown of Figueres, along with several medieval villages. Our very knowledgeable guide chose his favorite lunch spot for us, L’Esculapi in the picturesque village of St. Marti d’Empuries. To start us off, we were served a delicious seafood appetizer that gave the impression... More

We just love this place! The food is always good whatever one chooses from the extensive menus. It's good value, too and the atmosphere in the church square is just wonderful - even in the raging thunderstorm that occurred during this latest visit. The rain lashed vertically upon the large parasols but the professional staff, Simona amongst them, appeared undaunted... More

We've been coming to St Marti for a number of years - L'Esculapi always seems to be busy, often when the other restaurants are empty. Food is consistently good with a wide selection including tapes - menus are in a number of languages. Pizzas are huge, pasta dishes are very generous and a good wine selection - only downside is... After the heat of Figueres we stopped at St Marti and walked to the Plaza where we found L'Esculapi and sat a while in the shade watching the passing people and drinking cafe con hielo. We saw others eating pizzas and pasta etc, some very big portions...! This is a lovely place to stop before or after a walk by... More

The atmosphere at St Marti is quite magical. We used to visit here 30 years ago when our children were small. Very little has changed. The service at this restaurant is friendly and prompt. The staff are very smart, there are male and female waiters. The food is cooked perfectly, we have been 4 times over the last two weeks... More

We were looking for somewhere to eat after arriving in St Marti late Saturday. We thought we had no chance but the staff got us in. Lots of atmosphere and friendly staff. Our meals were good. I had duck and my wife had a pizza. My duck was perfect. It did not come with anything so I needed to order... More

Nipped in for an evening meal before realising that the whole area gets really busy at night. Got a little tag that beeped just a few minutes later though. Food was good and the staff were lovely but busy. Would go again.

This restaurant has the benefit of being in a most wonderful setting! The food is good and the menu is quite extensive. It is so magical sitting outside when the weather is good and equally charming out of season either with the heaters on, or indoors. It really does get too busy during August and sometimes the service isn't quite... More
