My wife and I were absolutely charmed by Cadaqués. We had a wonderful lunch at Talla overlooking the water and were very eager to try Can Rafa, which had been highly recommended to us by friends and our hotel (Horta d'en Rahola). The restaurant was filled with an older American demographic and we watched as Raphael, the owner's son, marvelously... More

Thank you for your critic and for coming in our restaurant. We want to apologize for the bad feeling you felt in our experience, because no one never told us something like that. We felt really bad after reading this critic, and very dissapointed with ourselves. we try since always (35years now) to give the best service we can, and... More

After reviewing the fresh catch from a large pan, we picked a small snapper and had it cooked whole. They asked if we'd rather filet it but really whole fish is much tastier. Had small clams to start and their local wine which is all they serve. Our waiter was excellent, super nice and accommodating.

We were very early going out to eat at 7.30 in Spain! But had earlier completed a 16 mile walk so we were very tired and prepared to be the only diners in the place. The food was extremely good - particularly the paella. And the pudding was good - I had the taps de Cadaquet - the rum one... More

I booked a table for 4 at this restaurant on 19th sept and arrived and was seated by the owner . As we looked at the menu an English couple in their 60s arrived for a table they had booked for an anniversary , it seamed they requested a certain table and when this wasn't available they questioned it with... Went in thinking we would all have Menu del Dia for lunch. However being three of us and one not wanting Fideuà one of us ordered from the carta and we shared as the mains are for two people minimum on the menu deal dia. Fideuà was the best of the trip, Cod Carpaccio was delicate and delicious, the absolute... More

Staff helpful with menu explanations. Manager seemed rushed & stressed. Starters a.bit too a large portion but good. Main paella disappointing - much too large, seafood topping good but crab legs very thin with no meat worth the fiddly difficult extraction. The rest of the paella was stodgy rice with no vegetables. Desert good Cree caramel other choice boring. Would... More

Family run restaurant in the main square of the town. Booking is very much necessary with queues forming outside every night in high season. Fantastic dining experience with excellent service from mainly family members, super food and a wine list consisting only of wine which is made at the family winery. Super food, super service. Well worth the visit and... More

Chose Can Rafa based on reviews on TripAdvisor and proximity from my hotel. Made reservations and had high expectations. Service was quite slow - much slower than expected even for Spain in general. They seemed to be very unorganized as we had 5-6 different people checking on our table. Our family tradition is that no one starts eating until everyone... More
