We went for a meal just as EL Barraco opened at 7.30pm - we didn’t have a reservation but Sammy the owner greeted us at the entrance and made us feel very welcome. The courtyard where we sat is stunning, beautifully decorated with lots of...plants and flowers, bright colored tablecloths and cushions. Absolutely gorgeous, but even better was the attention of the owner to his guests, speaking 8 languages fluently he conversed with people as they arrived in their own language English, Spanish, Catalonian Italian and of course his native Arabic that we heard. He recommended food and wine and we took his advice and were blown away with what was served to us. Visually appealing and extremely tasty it was all wonderful. As this was our first night in Cadaques and we have another four to go it will be very difficult to try other places when we have EL Barroco to compare them to. ThankYOU Sammy - we had SUCH a good time at your lovely restaurant.More

Amazing food, amazing place, amazing owner. The place is cozy and quiet, with a nice ethnic music. Food is fantastic, probably the best lamb I've tried so far

We’ve been in this place with my girl friend, and it was a nice moment. Really good libanese homefood made by a pretty welcoming family. The mood in the garden is beautiful, flowers all over the walls, birds, typical decoration. Everything is settled to have...a great journey. We even got the chance to have a live piano session from the host. A good place to go !More

After searching for "Cadaques must eats," I came across El Barroco as one of the fav restaurants of Salvador Dali's. In comparison to some of the other restaurants around town, this one was more within my budget. I wasn't sure what to expect as I...didn't see the photos of the venue prior to dining. When I arrived, I was flabbergasted by its enchanted garden filled with mirrors, multi-colored seat cusions, plants hanging off the walls, and vines that found its way through the stone walls. I was recommended the vegetarian platter by the owner himself though there definitely are other dietary options (vegan, halal, etc). My Lebanese platter came with dips of humus, yogurt, eggplant, chickpeas, and peppers with onion. Accompanying it, a falafel, samosa, and croquette. In the center of the dish, a small tomato, mint, and lime juice salad. To finish off the dish, a side of lebanese bread and a shot of mint tea. All of this for 20Euros. After I finished my meal, the owner insisted I finish off the dressing to my salad as it is the cherry on top to the dish. And as he suggested, I did. This charming restaurant will forever be on my Cadaques favs.More

It has been a bet on a different food that has pleasantly surprised us. My kids have enjoyed the dishes which were new to them so were some of the species. The atmosphere is super nice and service excellent and very attentive. Definitely there we'll...be coming back.More
