One of the best places we ate at.
Spinach patties, tuna tartare, grilled salmon and tuna tataki all perfectly cooked and presented with wonderful flavour combinations. We had visited before so knew what to expect and we weren't disappointed, the mark of a great restaurant is consistency and it was perfect both times.Although not a vegetarian restaurant the menu has about a 50% choice of vegetarian dishes and about 35% of vegan options.
Service was noticeably slower than anywhere else,we were in no rush however the wait for the food was borderline patience stretching.

We chose this restaurant as they cater for Coeliacs and my husband requires a gluten free diet.
The waiter explained that everything on the menu was gluten free and that they also catered for vegans. The choices were amazing and we were spoilt for choice.
We chose grilled goats cheese and asparagus wrapped in leek for our starters, followed by grilled salmon and gnocci for our main courses. Cheesecake and tiramisu were our deserts and we had a couple of glasses of wine. Total cost was 72 euros which we felt was very reasonable.
The restaurant is only small - approx 30 covers and we would recommend reserving a table in advance.

Ideal cuisine for meals with intolerances. Excellent cuisine with all the options for celiacs. The lemon chicken thing is an outrage without limits, getting such a delight from such simple products gives a clear image of this restaurant

Frustrating experience.
930pm booking, starters arrived at 10:40pm! main at 11:20pm!.
By that point it was simply too late, we gave the main course a go which was the seafood paella but it was lots of food just too late.
Asparagus starter was lovely, and the Paella was good also just the absolutely crazy waiting.
It wasn't just us all the other tables nearby were having the same discussions as us about when the food was going to finally arrive, all watching the movements of the staff hoping the food was finally going to arrive...!
Noone really complained at the time as i guess we all wanted the experience to be as good as the amazing looking menu but it was just too much waiting around ruined it.
Our plan for later that evening fell apart as we spent most of the night waiting for food and simply taxi'd back to the hotel afterwards.
Makings of a fantastic restaurant, such a shame.
An apology for the long delays would have been nice to hear but it never happened.

We didn't aim for this place but found it quite by chance. It's quite small and understated with a lovely atmosphere and brilliantly friendly and attentive staff. The food is already absolutely excellent until you even consider the prices of the dishes. Fresh, beautifully presented and incredbilbly flavoured plates of food have absolutely no right to be sold at 12-16 euros but here they are. There were six of us and all of us thought the place was brilliant. Tip, if you have young children, ask the staff what they have because they did fish and chips for my son (although not on the menu) and it was absolutely beautiful and he loved it. A totally perfect evening, and in our view, a totally perfect restaurant.

What a wonderful find. We found this restaurant by chance and were so impressed we went back again two days later.
The service was friendly and welcoming, the food was good quality, fresh ingredients, thoughtfully and beautifully presented and delicious. The portions were a good size and certainly filling and the price was less than expected for the quality. There are clearly marked vegetarian And vegan options.
For starters across both days we had asparagus wrapped in leek, pumpkin soufflé, artichokes in prawn sauce and cabbage rolls stuffed with mushrooms, veg tables and ginger. For mains we had a mixed paella for two, salmon with sesame mayonnaise on seaweed and the chicken escalope. For deserts we each had cheesecake, one with a Nutella based topping and another with fig jam. We would recommend it all.

Going to Sanus is always a success because their cuisine is delicious and the attention and treatment of the staff is excellent. They have a varied menu with vegan options that are also delicious. Very elaborate dishes and attention to detail. Every year we go for dinner two or three nights and it never disappoints.

A little Gem of a restaurant for anyone with Coeliac disease, Vegan, Vegetarian, diabetes, and people with Allergies. Every thing is Gluten free and 100% safe to eat. No cross contamination. The food is freshly cooked to order and was delicious 😋 we ordered the Steak in a Rosemary sauce, absolutely Lovely and my husband said it was the best steak he had ever tasted, so tender and cooked to perfection. A choice of deserts and even gluten free beer. Well recommended and a welcome change from our buffet at our hotel. Not open on a Saturday or Sunday and opens at 6.30 Mon to Friday. Highly recommended!!

We enjoyed a great meal here, our last until we return next year. There was the usual friendly welcome from Antonio and the team and helpful adjustments to the menu enabled us to mix and match a mains dish to suit our preference (very tasty veggie sausages with mushroom sauce, alongside vegetables and potato).
We shall miss our visits to Sanus but look forward to returning in 2025 for delicious food and wine.
We appreciate all that you do. Thank you, guys!

This place is gluten free heaven for a coeliac and also plenty of vegan options too.
Our son is coeliac and we ended up eating here every night of our holiday so we knew he could eat safely.
I am not gluten free but the gnocchi with asparagus and shrimps was hands down the BEST gnocchi I’ve ever tasted!
Would love to return if we’re back in fuerteventura in the near future.

Located in a side street off the main strip, you would be forgiven for walking past Sanus without noticing it. But if you do, you will be missing probably the best restaurant in Corralejo.we visited 3 times over 2 weeks. When we finished our meal on the first night, we booked our second, and on our second we booked for our last night. All the tables around us booked a repeat visit which tells you something. We each had different dishes on each of our visits and every dish was superb (although the tuna tartare was a bit large), but the ones we both enjoyed the most were the Pumpkin soufflé starter, the Risotto with Chicory and Apple in a Parmesan basket and Semifredo to finish. As I said at the time “If I were a condemned man, that’s what I’d have for my last meal”. The service was excellent and the bill was very reasonable including the wine. If you want to eat here, you will almost certainly need to book in advance (and if you want the Pumpkin soufflé mention it when you book … they run out fast).

Great little restaurant, attentive staff, beautiful food. We had the seafood risotto which was lovely, washed down with house red. Great flavours and excellent value for money- well worth a visit, recommend booking a table

Wanting a restaurant that was cosy and welcoming and also catered for vegetarians, we asked the team at our hotel and we were recommended Sanus. It is a small restaurant just off the main drag in Corralejo, with no more than 10 tables, so booking in advance is highly recommended. When we arrived, they cleaned and disinfected our table in front of us, thereby demonstrating their COVID precautions. The owner explained the menu to us in English (our Spanish is very limited), and we were brought bread and olives as an appetiser and we chose a bottle of Rioja to compliment the meal. We had deep fried goats cheese & jam together with asparagus wrapped in leek and served with almonds and balsamic. This was followed by homemade gnocchi in a rocket, onion and tomato sauce, and pumpkin and sage soup, and a fredo dessert with amaretto.
Overall, we cannot recommend Sanus highly enough - they catered for us as vegetarians (they also cater for non-vegetarians and vegans) and the service was perfect, the food and ambiance m delightful and the price very reasonable - around £50 for the 2 of us (excluding service), and to top it off, as we were leaving, they handed us an anniversary gift!
A 10 out of 10 from us.

I absolutely love this place. The guy who runs it is friendly and helpful, the service is excellent, and the food superb
Everything is gluten free, and around 1/3 of the menu is vegan, yet for me, a carnivore, I chose veggie and vegan options. The pumpkin soufflé is amazing, the home made gnocchi with mushrooms delicious, but the absolute star is the cheesecake (sooo creamy) with fig jam
I went twice in a week’s holiday and had the same both times as loved it so much
Very nice wine too…and the wonderful honey rum 😎

Once again, a lovely experience. Friendly and attentive service, delicious food and wine - no wonder people return here time and time again - including us.
To begin with we had our favourite starters of artichokes in Parmesan sauce, and grilled smoked goats cheese with tomato. We then enjoyed a tasty and delicious (and filling!) risotto with chicory & apples in a Parmesan nest.
There are plenty of options on the menu, and we’ve yet to find a better restaurant in Corralejo with so many choices for vegetarians (and also vegans). Plenty for meat & fish eaters, too. So many places say they cater for veggies, but it’s pasta, pizza and a few tapas. We like pasta & pizza, but not all the time. At Sanus we really do have a choice of tasty options.
The honey rum (choose your own shot) rounded the meal off and we left, already booked in for a return visit 😊.
