This is a quirky little pizza place with a Grateful Dead vibe. The pizzas include some odd and unusual ones, as well as standard stuff. They have salads too, including a beet salad I like. Food is generally pretty good. This is a nice place to bring the family. Important note: you want to go to Dr. Ho's Humble Pie,... More

Past due on posting review, just stopped by Sunday night (4/30/17) for pizza to go after weekend of spring cleaning, not wanting to cook much less clean up after weekend house and yard work! Recommended to us by some local Nelson County mountain biker nuts (in a good way) a couple of years ago and we pretty much stop by... More

Warning, this place gets slammed because of the great food and the always helpful servers. Friday or Saturday waits can be up to 40 minutes. We usually get a drink and strike up a conversation with other people waiting for a table. We go out frequently, probably too frequently. This is the best all around food, service, and value place... Been here twice now at the recommendation of a friend who drives over an hour to come here. I drove a half hour out of my way and it was totally worth it. The pizza combinations are interesting and unusual (not to mention tasty) while the service is even better. If you are looking for an off the beaten path... More

My girlfriend and I were heading back to Charlottesville after a trip to Rocky Mount, VA to see Los Lonely Boys at the Harvester Performance Center. As we were driving up Rt. 29 just past Lovingston, I mentioned that it was close to lunch time and we would be passing right by Dr. Ho's and maybe we should stop there... More

We, a party of three, had been waiting several minutes when a table of three left. Table was cleared about the time a party of two walked in and they were immediately seated at the table just cleared. When I inquired, she gave me an attitude and said that other people here earlier, had waited much longer than we had... More

Definitely worth the trip! Go early (around 5ish) and avoid the long lines. I love how you can split a pizza with someone and eat order your own 1/2. And that crust...delish!

Love love love the Ho. The award winning pizzas (oh, that Margherita!) are superb, the salads are superior and even the curry bowls are delectable. Cheeseburgers are a big hit, and the thin fries (a mountain of 'em) inspire filching- it is a good thing they come in piles. Soups- phantastic! Most everything is Ho'made, and delicious. Big desserts. Humble... More

I had heard that Dr. Ho's was a popular place in Charlottesville, and I wanted to try it too. This was a great find and they had absolutely wonderful food. They have a variety of foods including pizza, soups, salads, as well as appetizers.
