What an amazing find, but for the amount of people there, it was never lost in the first place. On a miserable Sunday lunch we decided to go and have a meal at la Montana restaurant. We'd heard many good reviews from friends, but never actually made it there. The weather was miserable and we wandered whether it would be... More

A Sunday lunch at this hidden gem. Ambience, atmosphere, welcome, service, surroundings, wine and food all fantastic. What else is there to say. Don't miss it!

Our first visit to this lovely restaurant. Well worth the drive up the hills from BEDAR in Andalucia. Excellent quality food. A warm and friendly welcome. Cost about 30 Euros per person for three excellent courses and wine. The best food we have had anywhere in Andalucia.

Well worth the drive up into the mountains. This restaurant has a lovely atmosphere with a friendly welcome from English host Matt. It is an old farmhouse with thick walls so quite cool inside but an open fire kept us comfortably warm on a windy Autumn day. There are also tables outside for sunnier weather. The food was excellent with... More

This is our favourite restaurant (19 November 2016) and we are not surprised that many nationals come to the place from far away! Excellent food by the new Chef, service and warm welcome by Matt. We had soup of the day and Spinach Croquettes. For the Main Shredded Lamp and Sea Bass followed by Crepe Orange and Liqueur Coffee. Excellent... More

We have sampled food and drinks at this restaurant on many occasions and have never been disapointed. Mat is one of the best front of house guys I have encountered. Along with his charm and ready wit is his extensive knowledge of all things food and drink. Try his extensive selection of gins (repeat visits necessary). The food is a... More

The setting is very rural in the hills. The restaurant is a beautiful old building with a real fire. We have been here numerous times as the food is absolutely wonderful, best quality and locally sourced where possible. Best Argentinian steak beautifully cooked as is everything else. Well done Matt and Carol and Julia. You are our favourite.

On a recommendation we visited La Monta absolutely brilliant for food, service and atmosphere, I have to say this restaurant I rate as the best I have visited in Spain. The band that was playing on Sunday 2nd October was brilliant and certainly helped to make the day most enjoyable. Matt is a brilliant host he even concocted cocktails for... More
