Just came for a quick drink and a small dish, the bruschetta was lovely, but expensive compared to other restaurants locally. The options of drinks were plentiful, but the secret garden at the back is the real delight. I would visit just for a drink...More

Unlikely to walk in and find what is truly a "Secret Garden" to the rear of the Restaurant unless you've been told about it! Wonderful setting amongst the trees in the garden, and outside BBQ. We savoured the Fresh Salmon in Orange Sauce, and Pork...More

A good find on a hot day in Mijas. Not a huge selection but very acceptable and not too expensive in a place with plenty of shade.

Fantastic value tapas lunch. For €15 per person we got a drink and 5 tapas dishes. All were delicious. The best chorizo we tasted all holiday. Good location and great atmosphere. Was great for the rainy weather too which is difficult in Mijas. Would recommend.

One of Mijas hidden treasures. From the front Aroma looks like quite a small restaurant but through the back is a hidden garden for dining, it’s surprisingly very big and has beautiful old trees and is quite a different dining experience for Mijas.

Disappointing that they would not serve us just a drink as the garden was closed due to bad weather on a beautiful clear evening!!!! However cctv showed the garden was open for those who were eating.More

Description
Aroma Café & Secret Garden is a truly unique restaurant on the Costa del Sol. Firstly the restaurant is located in an old house dating to 1872 with many nooks and crannies to discover. Within its walls a whole world opens, starting with arguably Mijas´ most beautiful Andaluz Patio. Follow the Patio to its end and let a whitewashed passage guide you to our gem on the crown, the Secret Garden. Here you will find Mijas as it was a century ago, an enchanted forest of olive, orange, fig and loquat trees. Stroll to the end of this sprawling garden and you will discover an ancient ´water mine´ dating back to the Moorish times. In our garden you will enjoy Argentinean BBQ prepared right before your eyes into the early mornings on warm summer nights. Our celebrity Chef from the Canary Islands meanwhile prepares sumptuous dishes which will tempt you to come back time and again until all that is offered has been tasted! Now just come discover for yourself, our friendly team awaits you!!!
