This is a great restaurant with an enviable location overlooking the Douro river, simple, and I do not mean this in a negative way at all, fresh and delicious Porto specialities in a relaxed setting. We had a lovely selection of small bites and some large bites, from fried squid, deliciosuly tender octopus, smoked cod, black pudding, filopastry parcels with... More

We came to this restaurant based on other reviews... it was truly amazing. Upon being seated each of us received a glass of port wine. We had several very tasty and well prepared tapas, such as the Serrano ham, smoked mackerel, fried calamari with an exquisite tartar sauce, and octopus. Then for main courses we had veal cheeks with rice... More

The views are great, but all views from Gaia to Oporto are. So let's get down to business. Eating out is a heck of a lot more than just order food from a list and expect the best. It's about the atmosphere, which is something that starts from the smile that expects you upon your arrival, to the moment you... More

However, restaurants just as nice for better value on the quay. And don't order the breaded mash, a friend ordered this and it was just like baby food. Kept us entertained but not very filling. Our villa had a great view across the river to Porto from Guiya however if yours does not then the view from the terrace bar... More

Let's start with the views, possibly the best in Porto. Now the restaurant.... A nice relaxed atmosphere, great knowledgeable service. We had a set menu as part of our wine tour and were suitably impressed with the food. Started with an Iberian ham salad and a white port accompaniment. Some good flavours. Followed by a clam and bean stew .... More

For us the service was great and the waiter particularly good, being patient, charming with good advice. We did expect a bigger view of Porto but did have a good view of the bridge from where we sat. The food was excellent but we were total of 4 nights in Porto and this was by far the most expensive of... More

I ended up having dinner here after enjoying the roof top terrace. Rather than having a big meal I ordered some appetizers which were all quite delicious. I can highly recommend the mushrooms in Port and the spare ribs. The service team was attentive, helpful but not overbearing. I will be coming back.

This place has one of the best views of Porto at night. It's a must to visit the terrace and enjoy the view and breeze with some Port wine. Since there were heaters, I think you may also sit there at winter time. For dinner we had a reservation for the panaromic room, so the same view from the terrace... More

Tasty bacalhau and port wine-oriented food. The roof top terrace is fantastic (and equipped with heaters for the hypothermic). To this day I regret not trying the port wine ice cream.
