Just finished a delicious dinner at Vintage Kitchen. Every dish from she crab soup, sliders with foie gras to pork tenderloin was perfectly prepared. Ended our meal with creme brulee. We enjoyed this meal and excellent service with views of the James River.

We had lunch here. We had a view of the water and the space is contemporary and bright. We shared the pumpkin soup. We probably shouldn't have. It is so delicious, even though the bowl looks big you would want the whole thing. The croutons must have maple sera up in them. Absolutely delicious we both had the crabcake with... More

Went there for restaurant week with another couple. Made a reservation and they wanted to seat us next to the bathroom and server entrance to the kitchen. Asked to move and it took a few minutes for approval. Meals were $35 for three couses. Brisket was very salty and tasted like pot roast. Ceasar salad had blue cheese dressing and... More

I heard really great things about this restaurant, so when a few friends and I were in Norfolk for a conference we decided to go. When walking in there was no one to great us and it was empty sound 7 on a Thursday night. When the hostess came up she asked us if we had a reservation and when... More

The restaurant is a very handsome and pleasant setting. The food took longer to arrive, for a business lunch for 6, than we would have liked. But it was well prepared and good. The sauce on the fish I ordered was far too salty. The music was too loud for a room that's mostly tall windows, with few absorptive surfaces... More

While we have eaten here twice, we were not impressed by either visit. This past visit was made due to a groupon gift. We made reservations for a Friday night. They did not have record of our reservations, but we're able to seat us as they were not busy. We each had a glass of wine and salad. Salads were... More

Stopped in during business in downtown. Ordered the Caesar Salad. Was pleasantly surprised by it. Not your typical dressing, this was full of flavor with a slight orange/red tint. The topping of a piece of bread with a tappenade was a great addition. The server was attentive but not intrusive. Didn't feel rushed at all. The view of the river... More

A group of professional work team members and I decided to dine at the Vintage Kitchen recently during a business trip. It was conveniently located within walking distance of the Marriott Waterside hotel and came highly recommended. Admittedly, I am not the usual awe-struck member of any group in which I find myself. I have to admit though, the first... More

What a wonderful evening with friends, experiencing a wine tasting dinner complete with Chef Phillip Thomason's passion AND color commentary! We began with a beautifully flavored pumpkin soup followed by a spicy Caesar salad. The latter was delicious and unique and a pleasant change from the banal Caesars offered by too many restaurants these days! Another pleasant surprise was pairing... More

This is one of the only places in Norfolk where you can die with a view of the river. This may not be fair but its reality. The food is artfully prepared and the menu is guaranteed to impress. It is pricey but worth it. Also they only have a dinner service Thursday through the weekend as of this writing,... More
