Located in a 140 year-old renovated church, Freemason Abbey Restaurant has been a local's favorite in the heart of downtown Norfolk for 23 years. Freemason Abbey is closed New Years Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Went for lunch during restaurant week. Crowded but seated immediately (without reservations). Food very well prepared and very tasty. Service very good, cheerful, attentive, even though very busy. Apricot bread pudding a must-try!
Finding good food and meeting family dietary requirements (a couple of GF folks with celiac) can be difficult. The variety of choices and the quality of preparation was outstanding. Enjoyed the broiled seafood platter and finished with the chocolate torte.
