My wife and I visited this establishment yesterday. Great service and nicely cooked food at an inexpensive price. My wife had the good old English favourite of 'Fish and Chips' whilst I had the pork chops. Both dishes were nicely cooked and well presented. The two meals cost just 16€ which was a pleasure. Certainly recommend this restaurant.

We discovered this restaurant tucked between the houses in a residential area of Canico. Quite a steep climb to get there but well worth the effort. Gilberto, our waiter for the evening was superb as he helped us to make good choices from the excellent menu. The steak on a stone is always an interesting choice and so I couldn't... More

Only looks like a small bar at first, you can sit outside but bigger inside and the food is fantastic.. Very friendly service. We had to walk up a steep hill to get there, but it was worth it, went twice.

After what seemed like climbing Everest we got to Fados. A couple of cold beers soon helped and the blue sea view was brilliant. We ordered a garlic bolo da caco to start which came with a plate of olives, local cheese and tomato. Very nice and unexpected. Next a large pan of lapas(limpets), hot buttery and more garlic. Followed... More

Our favourite restaurant in Canico. Tucked a little out of the way about a 5 minute work but really worth it! Steak on a stone was delicious! Staff were very friendly and prices were similar to most places around. Definitely worth a visit!

We usually passed by to during the lunch time and we choose the day offer wich is home made local style dish; always delicious! The last friday or saturday in every month is a Fado live show; we find pity that it is so rare... Sometimes they have a better show , sometime less. The stuff is very helpfull

The best home-made dishes we had in Madeira so far (grillem octopus & squid). The owner is a lovely lady who makes you feel really welcome. We are looking to more delicious food and fado music on Saturday.

It was such a pity that no one else was eating here when we went. It should be full all the time. It is a good place to eat! The people are very welcoming tho' have little English. Smiles and hand signals go along way! The menu is full and varied. We ate halibut with grapefruit sauce (which needed a... More
