Fantastic food at reasonable prices, good sized portions too, it wasn’t too busy at 8.30 but worth a visit. 3 courses for under €15

Lovely friendly Portuguese restaurant.. Great menu selection from Fish to Steaks .. Great for couples or families... Be aware some dishes are not translated correctly.. Example: Edible soft Crab is in fact Atlantic Brown Crab
We were skeptical after reading reviews of this restaurant buy buoyed by a recommendation from a Portuguese friend, are we glad we ignored the bad reviews and comments. We were met with friendly staff and made to feel very welcome. The vaiety of dishes were...extensive and as fish lovers, enjoyed every mouthful. We didn't think we could have room for a desset but managed it. The almond traditional dessert with caremalised topping with nuts was delicous, best we have ever tasted. Advice ... like us ... try and decided for yourselves. Will be going backMore
We had amazing sea food here after a recommendation by a local taxi driver. We hadn’t booked and were disappointed to see the restaurant closed on arrival but then saw the staff/owners arrive. Within ten minutes of opening it was full! Really enjoyed our food...and at a great price, would recommend particularly if you prefer something a bit more local than the restaurants around vilamoura marina.More
Went as a party of four on a Tuesday night. As we didn’t have a reservation, we were seated outside (not a problem) where we waited about ten minutes to get menus. We ordered a bottle of wine and appetizer. Another long wait only to...be brought the wrong wine. When they brought the correct wine, we ordered our mains. Then the appetizer showed up, a very good octopus salad. We then sat while waiters and bus staff wandered around apparently ignoring us and some other customers. The meals came out slowly, one-by-one. We had a salmon filet (good) a tuna steak (ok, but only warm at best, a veal picanna (under spiced and tough) and grilled calamari (cool, unsliced, and tough). We asked that the squid be heated which was done quickly in a microwave. We ate, while looking for wait staff, trying to signal wait staff, to no avail, I order to get more wine. We finally ordered another bottle of wine that never came. After another long wait we signaled for a check, asked two different restaurant staffers for a check and waited again for about ten minutes before somebody boroughs us our bill, and for the first time we were asked how we liked our meal. We didn’t and commented o the poor service and problems with the food. No apologies, no comment, no check. Five minutes later, another person actually brought the check and asked about our experience. We we explained our complaints, again no comment form staff. Finally a third person came with a credit card machine, asked how we liked our meal and explained a final time; no comment by that staffer either even after we advised that we would not come back. My wife and I own a condo a short walk from this restaurant. This was our fourth time dining there. Each time there has been a problem with at least one of our meals (which the always remedied). This, however is the end. We will not be going back. There are many good, even very good restaurants in the Quarteira-Vilamoura area that have good food and staff that values our patronage. This is not one of them.More
This is a first class tourist trap. The food looks really good for the eye but didn't taste anything. Asked for something to spice it up with and was given butter with raw garlic... The staff wasn't interested in recommending or helping out with the...order (it wasn't full dishes, you had to add veggies or potatoes to your fish).More
I’m not a massive fish fan but my wife is and this looked the place to go as it’s right opposite the fish market. They had plenty of meat options on the menu so I thought I’d try. Ended up with a gorgeous sharing cataplana...of monkfish rice. A large cooking pot which had cooked rice and enough monkfish for 4! It all sits in a beautiful broth which was full of flavour. The monkfish was so fresh and tasty. This will be my go to in future. The restaurant is lovely and bright with simple furniture all tinged with their signature blue. The staff were lovely. Very attentive throughout our service and offered us a drink of our choice on the house. I had cognac, my wife limoncello. Lovely wine list too. But don’t shout about it too loud as I want to get back in, and soon.More
To slow. A disapointnent. The sardine was to salted. People to near. No 2 meters distance. The average revisões in my option dont match what I found.
Came here with friends one evening during a recent visit to Quarteira . I had the swordfish, a Creme caramel and a bottle of Borba red. Everything was excellent, good service and good value for money. Recommended.
I’m very disappointed about this restaurant, I’m a tourist and wanted too eat seafood but a left the restaurant absolutely hungry. Everything was too salty and not tasty at all. Price was quite hight for bad quality food.
We were looking for a more authentic Portuguese restaurant amongst the very touristic places around Vilamoura but were disappointed. Despite it having a more typical menu the rice with seafood we ordered was mediocre and the food overall was overpriced. What made our experience worst...was being treated very arrogantly by the owner. Not a pleasant experience.More
Friendly staff but the seafood and shrimp rice was very poor. Lots of rice. It’s one special of the place, but it doesn’t seems. Terrible experience.
Went for lunch two people in the month of February . Two glasses of local wine one salad and one small size fish and a bottle of water. What a disappointment this place was. Way overrated and overpriced. €65.00 I’ve been visiting southern Portugal for...many years and this was the first time I felt we were cheated big time.More
A lovely restaurant in the heart of the harbour of Quarteira. We exploring excellent service and the quality of the food was excellent. I had the steak Portuguese style whilst my wife has the garuopa rice. Neither of us were disappointed. In fact the garuopa...rice was enough to take away and made another interesting dinner the subsequent night. The wine was expansive and get reasonable. A very pleasant evening.More
Called for a quick lunch and really wanted fish. No Turbot was available and so my wife and I shared a Dover Sole. The fish was well cooked but the chips were slightly undercooked for my liking. The restaurant comes across as being clean, well...run and has a great atmosphere with many locals along with the odd tourist. It’s a good restaurant except for one thing, the price. Most restaurants around here would charge between €20 and €25 for the fish we ate. Here it was over €40. The waitress didn’t even fillet the fish for us which for the price one would expect. Conclusion. There are just as good places nearby but at half the price so probably won’t return I’m afraid.More
