Excellent food, reasonably priced. I had salmon, it was huge, delicious and only €14. Been going here for last 20 yrs and it's always excellent.

From the moment you walk in, this restaurant is superb. The owners made us feel so welcome and the waiting staff were outstanding - incredibly knowledgable about the menu and enthusiastic about their job. We were welcomed with a glass of the house champagne and...expertly guided through the menu. The food was delicious - traditional food cooked perfectly. We visited twice and every dish we had was stand out. We tried, the golden bream, black pig fillet, pigs cheeks, prawns, monkfish, tuna and sea wedding. (I know it sounds a lot but we had to try as much of the menu as we could!). There are also a selection of homemade deserts to try - we went for the banoffee pie and crepes. The prices are very reasonable and we don’t normally go back to a place, but this is truly a hidden gem and I could not recommend it more.More

This is a great restaurant. Food was delicious and much better value than being in the marina. They had a great selection of fish which they talked you through. Staff were so so lovely and really accommodating. We were staying in vilamoura but they picked...us up and dropped us home in a minibus. Overall a really great find - thank you for having us. ❤️More

We were recommended this restaurant by a local resident. It's worth the trip if you are looking for a relaxed, local, well priced meal away from the main hub of the marina. It's a bit tricky to navigate in a car as it's situated in...the thin back streets, but we managed to park easily (free parking as this is the residential area) and walk to the restaurant. They managed to seat us even though we hadn't booked. I would hence recommended booking as it was busy for a mid week late sitting (a good advert for the popularity of this place)! The food was as you would expect, un-fussy, local and fresh. The staff were amazingly friendly and the atmosphere was brilliant. Sit outside if you can.More

Visited last night after wandering the local area with my wife and toddler. It’s in what feels like the old town of Quarteira, set back from the seafront and the somewhat monotonous food on offer. We had a fantastic experience with excellent service throughout. The...main waiter / Sommelier was very knowledgeable of the menu. Well worth a look. We had booked online and when we turned up we were seated quickly. It’s a lovely restaurant, very authentic. The service was spot on and the timing from ordering to receiving the food was perfect. Had booked online and had the confirmation email - however when we arrived booking wasn't on their system - however young waiter handled the situation excellently and took us to our table. He dealt with us for the rest of the...evening - provided excellent service and gave us some great recommendations from the menu. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. What a fantastic culinary experience. We were collected from our hotel and driven to the restaurant which is all part of the service. We were actually collected by the owner and felt quite privileged. On arrival we received a complimentary glass of champagne. We were...looked after by Luis who spoke the most perfect english. Having had a week in the Vilamoura and Quarteria area, dining out each evening, we had our last evening meal here on 15th May .. We booked on line and we were picked up from our Apartment free of charge by a family member and...taken to La Cabana. This comes totally unresevedly to say that we had the best meal BY FAR in this superb back street- hard to find- restaurant which has a lovely atmosphere and a very good menu ranging for all tastes-- The food was absolutely excellent-and came in a timely manner and the staff were just excellent all round. We will definately go again and our hosts ensured a free return home to our door.. 6 STAR RATING !! ..many thanksMore

A great experience that started with a free pick up from our accommodation. The host was excellent, he spoke 3 languages at least and explained all the details of every dish on the menu. The food was excellent- Portuguese specialties a plenty. We all chose...fish dishes but the meat dishes looked lovely too. The desserts were made in- house and the crème caramel as Mel soufflé was delicious. Everyone in our party was delighted with their meals- would highly recommended the “sea wedding”, the stand out.More
