We happened upon this quaint little restaurant by roaming through the town. Upon entering, my eyes spied two trays of fresh apple strudel. My dessert decision was immediately made before I even sat down. I had the stuffed pepper with mashed potatoes and it was very good. It also came with a salad and very delicious homemade soup for an... More

We ate lunch in the charming outdoor space. The good was traditional German and we ended the meal with an outstanding strudel.

We ate here three times during our week in Bacharach. I twice had the Weiner Schnitzel and once had a bratwurst. The schnitzel was the best I had on the trip, the bratwurst was good. The wife twice had the cold plate and once had the venison ( very tasty ). Wife also had apple strudel all three times -... More

After eating here our first day in Bacharach the food was so good we went back the next day. We talked with Astrid, one of the owners and felt like we had been eating there for years. The food was some of the best we had on our trip to Germany. Everything was so fresh. And look around the inside... More

Local eatery with lots of selection on the menu- owner greeted us herself and told us what she had waiting in store for us. All food was made fresh in house, tasty, served by the owner. Highly recommend.

We sat outside on a lovely covered terrace. The proprietress spoke English and helped us choose our entrées. She told us she makes everything from scratch. I had the Gulash, thick with meat in a well-seasoned sauce over penne pasta. My husband had meatloaf with a mushroom and tomato gravy and French fries on the side. The meals came with... More

I had sauerbraten with dumplings. This is a local specialty that has raisin sauce. Also came with soup and a salad.

Astrid is very friendly and a very good cook! Her apfelstrudel is sooooooo good! We had the sauerbraten and it was very good! My 13-year-old son actually wanted to go back there and have it again so we did! Her potato dumplings are really good too! The weiswein there is good but it is good all over Germany! Such a... More
