We have been to many fine restaurants around the world and this place is superb!!! The wine list is small, but well thought out; same with food menu, but the way it should be (do what you do best). We couldn’t eat all we wanted...More

The food here is very creative and delicious!, the menu changes often enough so it is not always the same offering (unlike many Williamsburg higher end restaurants). The sauces are unique and are items I would never take the time to make at home. Had...More

What a nice surprise in Newport News. We had dinner on a Saturday night and the place was hopping. I think you will need a reservation if you want to eat before 8:30. Tables outside and inside were all full. We had the lamb burger,...More

The food is amazing. Everything is fresh, selections are outstanding. This was my fourth time there and every time they out do them self. Appetizers to dessert, spot on. Red snapper was delicious, shrimp and grits appetizer was a favorite.

This place always amazes, the food is excellent and you wont find a better atmosphere. Kip makes you feel like you're the most important table there. Love some of the seasonal menu items like shrimp and grits, bison meatloaf, and some glorious mussels. If you...More

The food is great but you can't hear the person across the table from you. The lamb burgers are excellent. I'm glad we have this tasty option in Newport News since most of the eat places are horrible chains.

Circa 1918 always has good food, ALWAYS. I would highly recommend it for a special occasion or an every day spot. The only downside is it is pricier and you really need a reservation on a weekend. The staff is small and they multi-task and...More

I wanted to like this restaurant as I like the inventive menu. However, the food just isn't that great. I dined here twice, and each time the entrees were so-so. Very expensive for the average food.
