Quiet and semi intimate. Good service but make a reservation. Food is great. All of it. It's a dark place but well appointed

Great food and good atmosphere, although the restaurant is too small and crowded, which sometimes can be uncomfortable. The wait staff is awesome and the food is usually fantastic, although my husband got the Restaurant Week menu and was still so hungry, we left and went to Fin so he could eat more. I told him he should have ordered... More

Wonderful food and service. Love this place, especially for dinner before walking down the street to the PCT for a play.

Atmosphere was okay, service was good, but it was hard to hear across the table. A little close to the other tables.

Love, love, love this place. (Wish it was on this side of the tunnel!) We have been following Chad (Executive Chef) around for years at the various restaurants in Hampton Road that were fortunate enough to have his creative talents in the kitchen! Circa 1918 is a quaint little place that is always bustling with energy and cozy ambiance. We... More

This is a great little neighborhood bistro with an excellent menu and a great bar. The staff is friendly and efficient and the kitchen is top notch. We are vegetarians, and they are always happy to make adjustments to dishes for us. This is truly one of our favorites. Kip at the bar is one of the best I have... More

Small narrow restaurant in Hilton Village. We live close enough to walk in good weather which is always a treat and allows and extra glass of wine or cocktail. Chef/owner operated and the man is a killer. Great food comes out of a small kitchen. Recently had a charcuterie, seafood soup, duck breast and a wild board dish. All were... More

Circa is a winner in my book! It's small, intimate, and has outstanding food! One of my favs, the fried oysters! Honestly, I've never been disappointed eating there. Reservations are a must! It's location is in the historic area known as Hilton Village in Newport News VA Enjoy!
