Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I ordered very delicious vegan meal (tofu with rice). The taste was excellent but take-out portion could be made smaller if only one person is eating the meal. Also in the menu it said that the meal was going to be served with salad but it was not included in my meal. Overall very delicious meal and easily the most vegan friendly restaurant in Salo.

My first time ever in a Nepalese/Indian restaurant, had buffet lunch with the family. All of us were surprised by the taste and quality! Much better than we expected. My favorite was the creamy tomato soup and also the vegan kofta balls in sweet sauce.

One of the few restaurants in Salo that was open for lunch on Monday. Really enjoyed our chicken curry and korma dishes as well as the naan.

Very good lunch. Especially the vegetarian Kofta was excellent. The buffet had a very wide range of dishes which all were good quality. Staff was very nice and the prices are moderate.

Buffet is only 9e and had one chicken dish only (it was with garlic). Meat quality was good but sauce mediocre. Salads okay, Lassi very sweet. Naan bread is limited to only one per person. Okay but not special.

This is my second restaurant with Nepalese Buffet lunch. I liked that they provide fresh naan with lunch. Food tastes great. Would recommend everyone to visit and taste Nepalese food.

Hyvä, ystävällinen ja kohtuuhintainen. Good, friendly and reasonably priced. Extra point for nepalese beer selection!

We stopped here for dinner on a hot friday evening in august, when traveling from Helsinki to Rauma. This beats all the gas stations along the way.
We shared a portion of lovely Butter chicken and som Naan bread. Wonderful!
A few vegetable Samosas as a take-away
portion made a great evening snack.
Recommended!

I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the lunch buffet. Chinese lunch buffets are everywhere, but this was the first nepalese lunch buffet I've had, and I really enjoyed it. There was a wide variety of sauces to go with the basmati rice, salad was included, naan bread (very fresh, very good) was included, and all for just 9 euro. I feel like I ripped them off.
Additionally, I want to say that the ambience was very nice. In addition to the restaurant tables, there's a very airy and spacious lounge/waiting area with nice couches to wait for your take-away. It really added to the pleasant feeling of the place.
I want to especially recommend the vegetarian option in the buffet. I'm not big on vegetarian dishes generally, but this particular vegetarian option was the best tasting of all the options.
I think every time I visit Salo I will eat here from now on.

I looked their website for lunch buffet menu and the vegetarian dishes sounded good so I decided to give this restaurant a try. When I got there and saw the buffet, it wasn't what was listed on their website. The food was ok. Not bad, but not exceptionally good either. For nepalese food I expect it to be thicker, but now the sauces were watery. I expected better food and I was a bit disappointed.

My wife and I visit Bhancha Ghar for the first time today, our 21st wedding anniversary. We saw the good reviews from others who have eaten here and decided to give it a try because Salo is near our summer cabin location and we both enjoy a good curry. We left very satisfied with the quality of the food and the service, and we were both full. The waiter was very friendly and attentive, and our food came promptly and everything that was suppose to be hot was. The naan bread was a real stand-out -- the best we've had in Finland. And the raita was interesting -- sweeter than we've usually had, but delicious.
For starters, I had the vegetable samosa and my wife had the prawn pakora. Both were good, but the samosa was the more flavourful option. It was stuffed with a dal paste and peas, and spiced with cumin and caraway. For the main, Anne had the butter chicken and I had chicken vindaloo. Her sauce was creamy and scrumptious. My vindaloo was hot enough to bring a happy sweat, but not over the top. We had mango lassi with our meals.
The total bill was €50. That is a little high, perhaps, by the usual standards of such restaurants in Finland. In many one could have beers with the meal for the same price. But we felt it was a fair value because everything including the poppadam was good.
