The staff were very patient and kind. Me and my family took the XL Meat Feast and it was a perfect amount for us: 2 adults, a 15, 12 and 10 year old. We took as side dishes among other things Fried potatoes and potato chips We where a bit confused when we got big potato prices that I think where just cooked on the pan that was apparently supposed to be the fried potatoes(we where expecting French fries) and when we got Unsalted crisps that was supposed to be the Potato chips (don’t really know what we expected but it was not that) but that is our fault and nothing agains them. The meat was really good and we all had our preferences on what we liked the most but the sausage was not really anyone’s favourite. The toilet was kind of dark and scary so I felt a bit uncomfortable but otherwise clean and good.

Meat was superb, no teeth required. Potatoes were bit weird, kinda like home made wedges. Mac’n’Cheese was recommended by many as ”to die for”, but it was pretty normal. Good use of spices in most of the cases, but the BBQ sauce was basically the only taste I noticed from the Brisket burger. I want still to visit during weekend to try pork belly.
I do however highly recommend to try the place, and absolutely try their dipping sauces. Those are fantastic!
Big plus that dogs are welcome and patio has a lot of shades.

Tämän parempaa BBQ-ruokaa en ole Suomessa syönyt. Pulled pork burgeri, ribsit, coleslaw, mac & cheese, kaikki hyviä annoksia. Erityismaininnan ansaitsee jumalainen brisket. Vaikka jonoa riitti ulos asti, ruoan tulossa kesti vain n. 15min ja istumaan mahtui hyvin.
Probably the best BBQ-restaurant in Finland. Pulled pork burger, ribs, coleslaw, mac & cheese, all good dishes. The Brisket was divine. All though there was already a long line when we arrived, the food came in about 15 minutes and there were plenty of tables available.

Unfortunately we left disappointed. Burgers are original and taste good, but are too expensive and the available ”sides” are poor quality and really-really small. REALLY small. Like taster-size. I would recommend this place only if you’re not starving and don’t care how much it costs.
The staff is nice though, they are not to blame.

If lunch with a drink costs almost €20, I would hope that the hunger would go away. Although I'm not a big eater, when I left here the first thing in my mind was "what are we going to eat?". Not like this... Fortunately, the food was really good and the ingredients were clearly of high quality. For me, however, the first and last visit.

Food was OK. Good burgers, both chicken and pulled pork. Fried potatoes were not what we expected, not fried and no taste.
Service at the desk was below any rating. Not any kind words, no customer service at all. Tried to book a table by calling earlier this week. That was not possible, tried also order meals for our 15 person group, that wasn´t possible either. And then, when arrived there were not enough beef so we could not order what we wanted…
Was the first and last visit to JJ´s. And if we would have had a choice (Sunday evening, not many other places to go) we´d left before completing even the order.

I used to buy food from Jari-Jukka when he still was selling meats from his home and smoking meats in his own backyard. They were excellent! When the restaurant opened I loved the place with the decor and the hospitality. Food was devine. I guess through the years the money and fame gets to you. Now I can't say that this is the same place anymore. Hospitality is gone and it's just serving loads and loads of food to hungry people. Orders are filled wrong and no-one knows how to polititely apologize the situation. It' s a chaos.
I wish you all the best with the restaurant. I still hope to see the man you loves his bbq and sold it with pure joy in his backyard.
The food was and still is good though.

Brisket was dry, sausages were so dry was hard to pick them on the fork.
Pulled pork and chicken were still moist, but taste was off.
Coleslaw was not coleslaw, only tasted like red onion. Potatosalad was watery and potatos raw. Mac and cheese tasted terrible and had this floury consistency.
Will never visit again. Would not recommend.

Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing but it surely was not worth the hype or waiting so long. I don’t know if the burger was supposed to be served quite cold but I would have defined preferred it warm. But knowing the hype and waiting for so long I really expected so much more…

SIMPLY THE BEST BBQ. Beef brisket, pork’s belly… omg the taste and texture of the meat is just WOW. I would go more often if I lived near. So, the only minus is Salo, please please please open a restaurant in Uusimaa area at some point if financially possible :)

The meat is always smoked overnight, and smoking the right meat at the right temperature, you basically can't fail.
The brisket, pulled pork, ribs and jalapeno sausages are all equally delicious, and the selfmade sides (basic as they are) go perfectly with the meat.
Also, service is super fast - a couple of times, there's been a queue far outside the restaurant, but I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes or so. Since everything is already smoked etc, the only waiting time is when people can't choose what they want and the time they eat.

Black Angus Brisket Burger is rather fampus in Hamburger-Facebook froups - and must admit the meat was really tasty and soft. Exellent burger, friendly service. Will come back for tasting more from the list..

Travelled all the way from Helsinki for this place. Best BBQ in Finland. Brisket is unlike anything else, and everything else on the menu is just like it, fresh and well made from start to finish.
Hard to compare to anything else not only in Salo but in Finland. Just make sure to be hungry and if you want to get the most bang for your buck, get the 5 meats and 4 sides, and you will have a bit of everyhting. Only thing I would change is to have fries on the menu. The staff was welcoming and helpful.

I was told it's a suberb place and the queue was long, so it must be pretty popular. However I wasn't very fond of the brisket burger. Taste was ok, but it wasn't warm enough. The potato wedges and aioli was really good though. For these prizes it seems funny that you had to take your plates away yourself.

Excellent meat and a interesting place for the restaurant in the middle of Salo. Absolutely worth of visiting. U can choose for the Black angus brisket, ribs, pullet pork or chicken legs. And side choices also. We ate brisket and pullet pork and chicken legs. Be sure that you are there on time. There is a countinously line of people trying to get in to eat. They have a really good looking restaurant,
