The restaurant "by the sea", directly on the beach at the best Hotel on Koh Chang, the 'Santhiya Tree Resort' is really warmly recommendable. Especially our hosts Sabin, Saurav, & Niso were perfectly attentive and solved all special demands within a few minutes. If you like to enjoy a perfect dinner evening, enjoying a great menue while listening to very nice live music, you should choose this restaurant. Thanks for the great time, we will surely come back, Franz and Eberhard 🙏

Fantastic hotel with really good service and food. We lay by their beach most of the time, where there was really delicious food and really good service (on the By The Sea restaurant and Bar). At their By The Sea Restaurant and Bar, we were served most of the time by Wai - a really caring, thoughtful and serviceminded waiter.
Had to re-plan our journey, 3 days here just wasn’t enough so we had to extend our stay.

During our stay at Santhiya Tree we were delighted with the level of attentiveness form the staff and dedication to ensure we were well taken care of. The staff will go above and beyond no matter what is asked of them. And of course, the food is delicious and very authentic, with lots of vegetarian/ pescatarian options (we are Muslim and found no issues with the variety of food at Chantara). We are already planning our next trip!

Really really overpriced, service was really bad we had to wait for nearly an hour for our mains. Just seemed disorganised. Food was good but not that great, certainly not at the prices. Fabulous service from the staff, Wai & Tim &Zin & Touch & Andy all such lovely employees. Always smiling & eager to assist. Buffett night was great . The food had a wide variety of fresh grilled fish, pad Thai cart & Mongolian stir fry, Bbq etc all fresh veggies was very delicious & high quality. The sea water is crystal clear great for swimming & sunsets are out of this world!! Beautiful! We love KOH Chang! & SANTHIYA ❤️

We feasted on good food both for lunch and dinner. The food was adapted to the children's needs.

Super tasty snacks. Both the burger and the minced chicken salad were excellent. The cocktail and whiskey sour were also really well made.
Of course the prices are higher than on the street but for a hotel they are very reasonable.
The staff are super friendly and really concerned about the well-being of the guests.
The By the Sea also scores points with its fantastic view of the sea. You should perhaps know that you don't really perceive the By the Sea as a restaurant in its own right. There is the bar and the wooden tables further ahead by the sea. But - and now I have to say unfortunately - it has a lot more charm than the Chantara Restaurant, which is located next door in the (from the outside) beautiful building with the pointed roof typical of the resort.

I'm really impressed, a beautiful facility, superb staff!
Roshan and Dev are very accommodating and nice, they really looked after you.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars.
Other than the great food, the service was spectacular.
My husband and I stayed at Santhiya resort for our honeymoon and the kindness and hospitality of the staff were remarkable, especially Zin, who was the reason we kept going back to the restaurant!
