We enjoyed High's and plan to return! Clean and friendly - great food! Lots of choices on the menu of country cooking and home cooked meals.

'60's music and decor. Down home food at a fair price. Home-made pies and local trout on menu. We loved it!

While traveling through the hills of Virginia, I stopped at High's for a Sunday breakfast. The restaurant is your traditional small-town diner with a majority of locals in attendance. The staff was prompt and helpful, and prices are very reasonable. My breakfast came out of the kitchen hot and delicious. I will definitely return if I am in the area... More

Polite waiter. Food very good and reasonably priced. Buckeyes were dry but caramel apple pie excellent. Trout good, fried chicken and open faced roast beef sandwich all excellent. Waiter slow on water refills and forgot coffee for long period... but in his defense, extremely crowded. I would definitely hit this up again. Well worth a little wait.

We had a great lunch with 3 adults and 2 small children. The service was friendly and the food was great. The coloring books and crayons were a great touch to help the wait for food.

This is a really nice, quaint place with good food and service at a decent price. We had the Reuben and the Trout Fish Sandwich and both were very good. I highly recommend this to anyone who finds themselves in the area!

Rode 1.5 hours on my Harley with my wife to eat lunch here. What a wonderful day and a wonderful old fashion hearty lunch. Food was great, food was fast to arrive and staff was very friendly and helpful. Will be back soon and often.

Stopped for lunch and had fried trout sandwich and a veggie burger. Trout is local fresh. Hand-cut fries. Friendly staff.

Homey little place we came upon during our road trip. Our group of 6 ordered all different items and everyone was happy with their choice. Friendly service, fairly quick turnaround of the orders in the kitchen. Affordable prices. Two thumbs up!

Good service, friendly staff and excellent food, prepared quickly. The trout was some of the best we've ever had.

Description
New owners have spruced up the place and serve real food - and the best food in an otherwise dismal dining town. Many D.C. residents spend a weekend here and can't find info - won't know the place finally has edible food. Please check out their mountain trout - homemade desserts and breads, fresher food than this town has seen in years!
