We dined at The Speakeasy during a recent stay in Marion for a concert at the Lincoln Theatre. The food and service at The Speakeasy are outstanding. We enjoyed the vintage atmosphere and pleasant staff so much that we returned for a drink at the...restaurant's comfortable bar after the concert! The Speakeasy is a great option for dining when in the area.More

Looking for something different for Sunday Brunch we found the Speakeasy was offering one. We love Marion and all the charming features there so we gave it a try. I had the Steak and Eggs and my wife enjoyed the chicken and Waffles. The food...was great and we were brought a fruit cup for the table that was marvelous. I can’t say enough about how flavorful the food was although the spicey slaw that came with the waffles was a little too much for my wife. They serve a locally roasted coffe that was a treat in itself. We are going to make this a regular stop.More

Ate here in the weekend. Was relatively quiet and service was not brimming with enthusiasm. The Burger was as expected, good but not exceptional.

Kind of pricey if you want the entrees. We sat at the bar and ordered off the very limited pub menu. We both had the fish and chips with beer. The beer was cold but nothing great. Fish batter was really good but it needed...fish. Fries were tasty . Overall it was just so so.More

I had a delicious grilled watermelon salad and the fried cauliflower. Julie was my waitress, she was very friendly and answered all my questions about the charming town of Marion. The ambiance is very upscale and casual. Loved it.

The Speakeasy is one of my favorite restaurants as we always leave completely satisfied. My boyfriend and I eat here quite a bit and every meal we have tried has always been phenomenal. One of the neatest aspects of this restaurant is that the beef...and chicken are from a local family owned farm. The chef and servers/bartenders are wonderful and very attentive.More

A convenient restaurant within the hotel, the small plates are great. The salad was fresh, the duck was delicious and the bread had a Rosemary garlic crust. The beer was good, as was the service. And when I was too full to finish my second...beer, I just took it with me back to my room. How convenient!More

The Speakeasy is really good restaurant using all homemade sauces, fresh herbs and vegetables that add taste explosions to all their dishes. I had the fried green tomatoes with shrimp served on fresh greens, tomatoes, avocado, onions, and drizzled with some addicting sauce. My husband...had Ahi Tuna a top of the fresh vegetables named above and topped with another sauce that was soooo good. For dinner we shared one of the specialty burgers, very tasty and juicy. The drinks were different and a nice change. I had the Blackberry Bourbon drink. Served in a tall glass which is also a nice change from some bars who use 1/2 glasses. The hotel looks very nice and clean but we did not get to go inside. Lots of history!!More

The first time I went to The Speakeasy something was amiss. We went with reservations and were quickly seated. Unfortunately, even with 1.5 hours to spare that was not enough time to get our supper prepared in time for us to catch a show at...The Lincoln. We cancelled our order, they comped us for our drinks and apologized. The next time we sat at the bar and had a few drinks and ordered the chicken tenders and a salad. Both were very good - especially the chicken tenders. They were juicy and crispy and cooked just right. The lady bartender was attentive and cool. From my experience, and since the last visit was a very good one, I would say if you are in Marion for a show at the Lincoln right next door, give it a try.More
