An extremely popular eatery in Lynchburg, but frequented by lots of senior citizens, so don't look for empty handicapped parking. I used to take my mother there. She had a handicapped placard and, indeed, had difficulty walking. Not once, however, did we find a vacant handicapped space. Cracker Barrel is well known, so there's not a lot to add to their already great reputation, but the folks in this Lynchburg store/restaurant o the extra mile.
Since we were passing through Lynchburg a coupe of days before Christmas, we thought we would stop at this Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Other than a 30 minute wait to be seated, we had a good experience. The restaurant was packed, but waitress was friendly and took good care of us. Food was good.
This location is near Liberty University and the servers are so very nice. The food is your standard good cracker barrel stuff. But what makes this location awesome is the staff!
This Cracker Barrel was like most other restaurants in the popular chain. The difference, we noticed, was the friendliness of the staff, Service was rapid and friendly. The facility was clean and attractive. The food was delicious.
We go to the Craker Barel in Lynchburg, Va for breakfast and enjouy it every time. The ambiance makes you think you are in a country store and the smell of good home cooking finishes it off. The eggs are always cooked to your directions and the bacon and grits are great.

This evening, I had ordered the Lemon Pepper Rainbow Trout, Cheese Grits, Fried Apples, and Seasonal Vegetables. (See the pic) The trout was about the best of my meal. The Fried Apples were right there with it. The vegetables were ok.... More
