We had a delicious dinner of crabcakes and scallops. The crabcakes were excellent. The scallops were fried with a delicious sauce. I should have read the menu more carefully as I would have prefered them broiled. The wine list was expensive. Good service.

This is my second time staying at the Tides Inn, however I have eaten here on several occasions. I always look forward to coming here. The staff is well educated, friendly, and neat in appearance. The grounds are beautiful and it is so relaxing sitting on the veranda that overlooks the water.

The Tides Inn is one of the best restaurants on the east coast. The restaurant, facilities, Inn and service are superb. The view of the Rappahanock river from the Chesapeake Club is remarkable. This is our go to place when friends wish a special evening.

I have eaten here for holiday buffets; menu dining; large groups; small groups; two people . . . have been pleased with the food, the service, the wine, the drinks. What more can I say?

The staff is all long term and extremely well trained to care for guests. They remember your name. One gentlemen (a manger) was filling in one night and serenaded a birthday woman. Really good voice. Maybe I should treat myself again at Thanksgiving.

For a destination that bills itself as a luxury resort the terrace dinner experience left much to be desired. The menu was uninspired the food mediocre and the service particularly poor.

Food is okay, staff isn't great. Wait staff tried but they seem overwhelmed and not very knowledgeable of the menu, or the hotels amenities. Would recommend eating by the pool instead for lunch, or outside of the resort for dinner.

We made reservations 6 weeks in advance for a "big" birthday dinner. We had been at the Tides years before and remembered it fondly. Unfortunately, we had a bad experience this time around. First, we were greated with "Happy Anniversary!". Well, at least they noted that it was a special occassion. After some prompting, we were given a seat by... More

The views from this room are great. We only ate two meals here and had drinks both times. We liked the bloody mary's and loved the strawbourbon drink. When we had dinner on the patio outside we enjoyed the live music but we waited several times to get more water and refills on our drinks.

We sat outside and listened to the live band for dinner on Saturday night. Not the full menu but great appetizers and small plates. Service was a little slow, they were defiantly short on staff so took a while to get a bottle of wine. But great place to eat and kids playing in the lawn area.
