Took a chance for breakfast after eating at the Homestead for several meals. This place is friendly and down to earth! They welcome you as you walk in the door, tell you to grab a table and they'd be right with you. It's definitely not fancy, but it is clean with good food. Breakfast items include eggs, bacon, sausage, grits,... More

Wonderful place to eat - great service - good food! Inexpensive and just a short walk from The Homestead!

A group of us dropped on for dinner last night. Food was very good and service was great. The owner even visited with us for a bit

Waiting to check-in to our room, my husband and I had lunch at Lindsay's Roost. The diner was charming and the lunch was fantastic!

Great home cooking, friendly service, reasonable prices and a great diner atmosphere make this a great escape from the extravagant prices often found at the Homestead Resort.

Breakfast or lunch, simple small menu. Cash only. Old as the hills around the town and badly in need of refurbishing. Simple decent fare. Friendly folks. A 5-10 minute stroll from the Homestead or 2 minutes past Sam Sneads Tavern on Main St.

Food is really good. The whole place is themed after Elvis Presley. Fast and friendly service. And the prices are better than other restaurants in the area.

This was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. Charming & great staff. If you're staying at The Homestead, this is a must stop.

I visited The Roost (as the young lady called it both times I walked through the door) twice while on vacation the place itself was very clean but very outdated! Could use new floors and paint! My server on both occasions was wonderful. Becky was my server on Wednesday and I could tell she was overwhelmed the foreign girl with... More

It had been a while since we visited Lindsay's and it felt just the same as it had on previous occasions. The burgers and fries and onion rings are still good, the staff is still friendly and the Elvis memorabilia and Chicken decor is everywhere. Robert still tells jokes and makes everyone feel at home. Nice alternative to fancy food... More
