Blue Stone Inn had been recommended by a few. We decided to give it a try this past weekend.First when we walked in we were not made to feel very welcome. Owner didn't even look at us. Waitress was just ok. Food was terrible..Salad was pre-made, tomatoes were frozen and it was soaking wet! Baked potato was so over cooked... More

Our second visit in 3 years. Great seafood. We shared raw oysters, catfish, and steamed crab. Everything was fresh and tasted wonderful. Our young waiter ( I believe his name was Brian ) was very friendly, professional and quite helpful. One very minor mark. Exercise just a little more care shucking the oysters.

We had a awesome Dinner here. Scallops and Prime Rib were our choices. The Prime Rib was outstanding. Penny, our waitress was friendly and couldn't have taken care of us better.

Dined at Blue Stone multiple times because my grandparents would always go this establishment in 1998. Whenever I am in town I make a point to stop their. I have many years of customer service experience in the serving industry and this is the worst experience I have ever gone through at any establishment. Dined at Blue Stone Inn tonight... More

I am the owner, and you are correct. There was no excuse my rudeness last night, and I apologize. We were extremely busy, hence the long wait time for your food, and we were short-staffed in the kitchen, which was the reason I was there and not out front as is normal. I can assure you that the kitchen staff... More

This restaurant is popular so make a reservation or you may be waiting a while. Food was excellent and the wait staff was very good. The interior is a bit like a hunting lodge and provides a nice ambiance. Of particular note: my ribeye steak was properly prepared as requested - medium-well - something I rarely experience. Open Tue thru... More

Thank you for your kind review. We don't always get things just right, but we always try! Reservations are only taken for groups of 5 or more, but coming during the week is one way to avoid the crowds. More

This is a classic Shenandoah Steak House that has been family operated for over 60 years...very good food in intimate (crowded) table and booths that are surrounded by the hunting trophies of the owners of a generation past....with over 20 mounted deer heads you truly can dine under a buck! Nice food, but usually there is a crowd to get... More

Thank you so much for the the positive feedback! Valentine's Day was crazy busy, and many customers had to wait quite a while for both seating and food! We always appreciate customers who understand. More

My wife and I had dinner here based on recommendation. She had the crab cake dinner which she thought was good since there was a good bit of crab and little filler. I had a cup of New England clam chowder which was good. I then had the restaurant's forte dinner, the stuffed Rainbow trout. I thought that the trout... More

Wife and I recently moved to the area and we've heard good things about this place. Would love a place like this to be our go to for an occasional nice dinner out. We're 40 minutes away but were willing to make the drive based on reviews. Place was nice and our server pleasant and efficient. I ordered the Rib... More

I'm certainly sorry that your dinner was so disappointing. I was there that night, and I believe that I remember your party. Your server did alert me to your steak, but she noted that you did not seem overly upset. I advise everyone who eats out anywhere to ask to see the manager if the dinner is not as expected.... More

The restaurant came recommended to me by a friend. It is off the beaten trail and was a great find. We had ten in our party and the staff was very accommodating to us. The restaurant is family owned and we were treated like members of the family. When you are in Harrisonburg VA, take the 15 minute drive to... More
