Hardly five star dining but I wasn't expecting such. The sandwich I ordered was okay. Just okay. The bread was a bit stale which was surprising for a restaurant that's main offering is sandwiches. Kind of feels like eating in a school cafeteria.

the french dip is incredible! I love it so much that I honestly am afraid to try anything else because I will miss out on the experience of their french dip sandwich.

We stopped here for a quick dinner. I got the chicken salad sandwich with chips and my spouse got a Ruben sandwich with a fruit cup. The staff was friendly and the service was good, but the food was just OK and pricy for what we got.

I had a delicious Pastrami on rye but froze while I was eating. The place would do better with table service because the pl e is large.

McAlister's is great -- especially for a group of 25. My church friends reserved the back room. We all enjoyed the social time and the food was perfect. Each of us ordered at the counter and the staff brought us our food in the back room. That was very nice, since some of our group are handicapped. We liked it... More

After traveling 6 hrs. from to the Poconos we were ready to eat. When the restaurant we intended to eat was closed, we spotted McAlister's and went there instead. very quick service, refreshed us enough to push on another hour and a half to our motel.

I was very disappointed all I ordered was a BLT had it barely had any bacon on the sandwich it should have been a lettuce sandwich the bacon that was on the sandwich was so limp and it was only 2 slices of bacon I wouldn't go here again if I returned to the area.

McAllister's aims to be a high end sandwich shop but it falls short. The food is average and more expensive than other places not far away. I am going to return and give it another try but I am not optimistic.

Love stopping in here whenever we come to JMU. So much better than Panera or other places like that. I had the New Yorker sandwich. It was at least 2 inches thick with what felt like 5 lbs of meat in it! Love the Mac & cheese as a side. In fact our last time in town, we ordered to... More
