The owner and manager Is very rude to African American people. My food wasn't right and when I politely let the manager know she got irritate, tried to fight and told me I could get the hell out. It wasn't until called the police that I was given a refund or treated as a human being. Beware Black people this... More

Their Chicken pot pie dish was huge! But once you cut into it, it was watery and not a lot of food inside....disappointing. Meatloaf was good.... Salad was good... Service was excellent!

Wife and I visited for the first time in a while. We have visited this place about once every three months over the last 16 years. Not a bad place to get dinner or lunch. We mostly go for the specials. We have not had any issues with the staff or any complaints in regards to the food. We don't... More

People keep telling me it is a good place to eat. I gave it three chances at different times of the day. The eggplant was some horrible frozen, battered thing. The sauce was not that good either. For breakfast, I tried their casserole which sounded great but was too salty to eat. But the worst thing was the coffee!!! The... More

This pizzeria/restaurant, has been a long established in the area, so hopefully this isn't the norm. Had a large family party, 14 people/6 o'clock. Ordered two pizzas, and several individual meals. The business was moderately filled but as we waited for dinner, it was becoming lighter and lighter. I stated noticing a lot fruit flies were flying around. As our... More

We travel quite a bit and have visited many restaurants of all types. We are usually pleased with most of the food we have been served. Vancosta's is the exception. The ambiance was family diner with the kids and in laws, the food was really bad. We ordered mousaka and it tasted nothing like the authentic kind. The salad wasn't... More

Vancosta's was my favorite go to place when I lived in Newport News and Hampton many years ago. Now when I visit my friend, we always go at least one time. Don't need a menu cause I know what I'm having - lasagna. Always, except this visit and only because it was St. Patrick's Day. The easel board listed corned... More

Our family tried the brunch last Sunday. Delicious and hot! Try the pancakes...delicious! Biscuits are home-made. I saw many customers order lunch items early if that suits you!

This is a very old eating establishment and mostly older people eating there. The seating is well planed and comfortable. Fast and friendly service.
