RH&B has consistently delivered over two decades of my visiting it, at different locations and even in different states. Their food is par excellence. The service is fast, friendly, and attentive. The drinks are bottomless, the potato salad is to die for and their pulled chicken is just simply delicious. They have a conscientious vibe which they dont trumpet or... More

The prices are very reasonable and the amount of food you get is incredible! There's so much you may need a to go box! The desserts are really good, too, so if you want something sweet take a look at the menu early so that you know to save room and take part of your meal away with you. We... More

I was hosting dinner for 8 people and ordered their most expensive packaged dinner. When I went to pick it up, the order was all wrong. Instead of ribs, pulled pork, and sausage plus sides for 8 people, I had ribs and an individual side only. The female bartender (you pick up take-out orders in the bar) began to tell... More

Friends celebrating a birthday had a big spread of Red Hot and Blue Barbecue for their guests at lunch. I had the chicken barbecue and it was excellent. Pulled chicken with my choice of barbecue sauce. I had the sweet version and it reminded me of the great barbecue sandwiches my mother used to fix for us years ago.

Kevin and his staff catered a wedding of 200 in Fredericksburg, Va. for us. He and his staff went above and beyond to make the event a success. They were easy to work with and extremely professional. I would recommend them to anyone!!!

Very good selection and always a most excellent choice of sides/extras to come with meal. Service is consistently well taken care of and you can't go wrong with coming to RH&B! Parking can be somewhat of a problem on weekend evenings/nights. But for "Q" in Fairfax city...this is a great choice!

We do not eat here often, but we had used Red Hot & Blue catering for our son's graduation party -- and that went well. We decided to stop in for a quick family dinner since it wasn't busy. Service was slow, and I think the waiter may have been new (or inexperienced). When the food was delivered, the waiter... More

Red Hot and Blue is a full-service, casual-themed restaurant chain and caterer featuring delicious award-winning ribs, Memphis-style barbeque, smoked wings, and Southern sides and desserts. The atmosphere is steeped in legendary and contemporary blues music and delivers a large dose of Southern hospitality in a fun and entertaining dining environment. History: The first Red Hot and Blue restaurant opened in Arlington, Virginia in 1988, started by Lee Atwater, Don Sundquist and friends. Don Sundquist was from Memphis and served in the House of Representatives and as governor of Tennessee. The late Lee Atwater was an amateur blues musician and political figure that managed George H.W. Bush's successful race for the presidency. These men were friends who longed for authentic Memphis-style barbeque and great blues music. Unable to find that combination anywhere in the Washington, DC area they decided the only way to get it done was to open a restaurant of their own. The Memphis-style barbeque chain celebrated its 25th Anniversary in 2013 by partnering with a charitable organization at 24 different restaurant locations. The yearlong celebration culminated in the presentation of thousands of dollars in donations to local charities. The Name: The name, "Red Hot and Blue" is taken from the title of D.J. Dewey Phillip's radio show that that aired on WHBQ-AM in Memphis, Tennessee in the 1950s. This radio show launched the careers of Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash and broadened the audience for artists such as BB King, Muddy Waters, Robert Cray and Rufus Thomas. Red Hot & Blue Dine-In, Take-Out and Catering. Hickory-smoked Memphis-style BBQ, Ribs, Wings, Beef Brisket, Smoked Chicken, Seafood, Full-service Bar, in a Family-friendly atmosphere with a heapin' helpin' of Southern Hospitality!
