I have stayed away from eating at Cracker Barrel for decades until my trip to Bristol. It was located right next to my hotel room and I had never tried their breakfast service. I have been craving the 4 piece fried chicken dinner since it was announced a few months ago. My wife and I stopped in for lunch during the peak hours and were seated immediately. I ordered the chicken dinner, with hash brown casserole and the...house salad. My wife ordered the deep fried turkey with the same sides. The meal was delivered within 15 minutes, prepared and served hot and fresh. We both brought home enough to have another meal the following evening. This is a very good Cracker Barrel, relatively new. We were there for breakfast, crowded, but not too long of a wait. Very helpful waitress, kept the coffee coming!

I stopped here and had a breakfast in the morning. The cornbread muffins are divine for sure. Can never go wrong here and it is also convenient for a little Christmas shopping on the way home.

If you are trying to decide on where to eat Cracker Barrel is always good no matter where you are, service could have been better

This was the first time we stopped in Bristol, VA for a 'sit down' dinner. Typically - we only stop in Bristol to find gas and stop at a local Bakery. This trip - we were dying for a meal so we decided to try...the local Cracker Barrel. First - the location of this restaurant is on a hill that overlooks the interstate. Very pretty view and the exterior was decorated to match the local vibe of the area. With the flowers in bloom - who wouldn't want to check out this restaurant? There was no waiting because we were dining in the middle of the week at around 3 in the afternoon. Not a typical time for a rush of patrons. I will say the layout of the restaurant was slightly different than other Cracker Barrel restaurants we have visited. The partitions that are strategically laid out in the dining room were PERFECT!! I felt like they gave a tad bit of a buffer to that echo in the noise that all Cracker Barrel restaurants experience. Ordering was quick and we received our order very fast. The food was hot and delicious. The only 'complaint' would be the fact we didn't see our waitress the rest of the meal. She had left a pitcher of tea at the table behind us so we just poured our own drink refills and were happy to do so. I would have like it if the waitress came by at least once to check on food temp, refills, and to see if we needed anything else. Otherwise - the meal was great!! Good location, quick seating, hot delicious food like you expect from Cracker Barrel.More

Cracker Barrel food is reliably good. We had a good meal. The service was terrible. It took 20 minutes for server to take our order and then one entree arrived incorrect. Server never returned to our table. Had to ask manger for check.
