Place was close to our hotel so we gave it a try. Waitress was friendly and attentive. I had ribs and chicken tenders with a loaded baked potato and green beans. Everything was hot and the ribs were very meaty and fall off the bone....Enjoyed everything.More

We arrived at the restaurant at 3:30 pm on 11/3/2020. It was in between lunch and supper. There was very few cars in the parking lot, so I thought it would be ok to take my mom in, even with the scare of the virus...(she is on oxygen and has a lung disease). It was just me and my mom, two of us! There were three ladies at the front, I told her there was two of us and she told us we would have to wait a little bit, sent us outside ( around 50 degrees ) to wait for a table! Why, cause it sure wasn't crowded!!! When we did get seated, I asked the waitress why, and she said they were short handed!! But three girls standing at the front talking!! What!!!! OK!!!! So we almost left, and wished we had! She said that because of Covid, if there is no tables, you have to wait outside!!! I understand about the rules for Covid but there wasn't hardly anyone there!!!! We will not be eating there again anytime soon!!!!!! REALLY!!!!!!!!!!! Hardly no cars in the parking lot and we were the only ones in line, and the only ones having to sit out in the cold to wait!!!!More

Waited 30 minutes outside on their beautiful patio watching the leaves fall. So peaceful. The young man that took our orders was so friendly. Food is the same as all cheddars, nothing special.

We had dinner there last night and it was really good! We had a great waiter who definitely made our dining experience more pleasant! First ever experience: they offer carry-out alcoholic beverages so I ordered one to take back to the hotel!

We went in on a Saturday afternoon. Ordered several treats to go. The selection is huge, display cases are nicely arranged with a vast array of baked goods and various custards. Here’s the crux. While everything “looks” pretty, and the staff is happy to serve...you, the desserts are dry and have a “mass produced” taste. The Creme brûlée was the best we had out of five offerings, but only because the young man burnt the sugar on top by hand in the back. We had a crowd, so we bought an assortment including chocolate delight cake (tasted like grocery store deli product), an individual cheesecake (dry from sitting in the case. The middle was still moist but the edges were dry/tough—that doesn’t come from cooking, it comes from sitting out), pots de creme was a cross between instant pudding and chocolate pie—not a real pots de creme, which is an egg-based chocolate custard made by hand with very dark chocolate, and the tiramisu was unremarkable, and again—somewhat dry. Cannoli shell was tough, from being left in the case too long after filling. The location is lovely, with easy parking and access to the street. Everyone was masked & gloved because of C19, but very helpful/friendly. The decor is done well and the chairs/patio ambiance draws you in. I’m giving 3 stars, because at the height of tourist season, they should be putting out less product on display and keeping the real sales fresh in sealed containers in back, and brought out to order. One professional baker’s opinion. I wish them the best.More

First of all we we're seated in the back room of the restaurant which wasn't really busy due to the time of day. It was so hot I got sick and couldn't finish my food, which wasn't the greatest. It was cool on the other...side of the restaurant and comfortable in the center. The service wasn't the greatest either. Windy's drive thru would have been a much better choice.More

Usually stay away from chains. Cheddar's is a serious step about Applebees which we avoid. I would return to Cheddar's. Service at this location was very good as well as the food. I had 1/2 rack of ribs and the meet just fell off the...bones. We went the Sunday before Christmas for dinner. We sat at a booth in the bar area. There was a decent amount a people waiting to be seated and there was quite a few available tables and booths in bar, not sure why people would want to wait for the general seating area. Bar area was not loud.More

We arrived late after a long day of driving. We each ordered sandwiches with side salads. I had the maple bacon chicken with a side of steamed broccoli. It was good and the service was also good - no complaints. If you're in the area...and looking for a good meal - stop at Cheddar's.More

Family went to celebrate a birthday. Things went as smooth as possible. Four of five meals were good, but "loaded" baked potato came with butter, sour cream, and a sprinkle of shredded cheese (not melted) and nothing else? Steaks were good, well cooked, and mushrooms...were excellent. Waitress seemed stressed with too much going on, but she pulled through with every request in a timely manner. The restaurant was terribly loud. All in all a nice visit though.More

Great place to eat and drink at. My family has never gotten bad food from Cheddars in Bristol Va. Highly recommended to eat there if you haven't
