My friends and I were passing through town after hiking at Pandapas Pond. We needed a place to share a quick lunch, and after passing by Gillie's, The Cellar, and the Greek deli place, we settled on Joe's Diner on Main Street. We expected a traditional American diner and that's just what greeted up. The place was delightfully used. Booths... More

The atmosphere at Joe's makes me feel separated from the current demands. I can really relax. The omelets, grits, and biscuits are comfort food. Yummy biscuits!

Nothing was homemade and the breakfast that their "known for" was weak. The chip beef gravy had no flavor, overpriced 👎🏻

This is one of the small town diners your parents always talk about and miss. The decor was old school, but had lots of charm. The waitress was bubbly and proactive. We and the eggs with grits (recommended with grits) and the western omelette. We had coffee and chocolate milk and both drinks were good. The food was served hot... More

Take a simple omelet, add crispy bacon, cheddar/jack cheese blend and hashbrowns - then add a grilled biscuit - amazing! Take a bite of the omelet together with a small piece of the biscuit - even more amazing! Add in the best service and sense of community - OUTSTANDING!

Stopped in to Joe's on the way through Blacksburg. Reviews on TP said the food was good and they're spot on. The space isn't big or fancy. It's literally a hole in the wall. It's family run and has a great atmosphere. Sat at the counter. Coffee cup appeared in less than a minute and from then on it never... More

We were visiting our daughter at VA Tech and headed out for breakfast early. Joe's was one of the only places open at 8:30 on a Sunday morning. We were seated immediately, but it started filling up shortly after. Breakfast for all of us was delicious, omelets, and other great food. And the coffee refills came as fast as you... More

We decided to try Joe's Diner for breakfast after reading reviews online and I can say we were not disappointed. Joe's is a great nostalgic type diner in the middle of downtown Blacksburg. The atmosphere inside the restaurant as well as the service made for a nice dining experience. Joe's opens at 8am and if it's a Virginia Tech game... More

Went here twice in a week - once for breakfast once for lunch and both times it as delicious! The food is by no means fancy but it gets the job done at a fair price. Breakfast was fantastic and the staff super friendly and attentive. Had the hok-E burger for lunch and it was messy as heck but tasty.... More
