Cantons di Gerardo is a modest Italian restaurant run by the owners, Gerardo and Devona. From the dining area, you can even view the action in the kitchen. Our party of four enjoyed our calzones, a seafood dish, and a Ceasar salad with grilled chicken. A good place to eat and enjoy an authentic restaurant that is not part of... More

Best Italian Food North of Boston. Nothing is deep fried! Calamari is tender. Eggplant is amazing. Highly recommend the Eggplant Marsala. I know of no one that does that except Gerardo. Marinara is excellent, grab a jar before you leave. Authentic also means the service may not seem quick. Food is made one dish at a time and it is... More

Made a reservation. After being seated 2 other tables seated after us were served before our order was taken. Waitress brought bread and dipping oil. Bread was cold and frozen in spots. Food was ok but well over priced for the quality. Veal Marsala was was over cooked and chewy and sparse. Caesar salads were drenched in vinegar. Shrimp scampi... More

Visited during late September on a Saturday night. The restaurant was quite busy and it took some time to get the attention of the owner/hostess. The food was appropriately priced, hot, and timely. It's not the best Italian, but for a small town in Vermont, it was fine. I would return.

Scallops in bacon, veal Marsala, prosciutto Parmesan, garlic and spinach tortellini... and that's just lunch. She serves, he cooks, they banter in the open kitchen. Family, not at all fancy, and fantastic. You know a meal will be good when the bread and olive oil are showstoppers.

We came upon this restaurant by chance while travelling through Vermont - and what a delight. Rather like entering a wee villa run by a lovely couple. Our lunch was a treat and we choose the light fare having an antipasta and a pizza. Of course they brought the delicious bread and favoured olive oil first and we were treated... More

Wow, really great food for a party of 5! Friendly service, nice atmosphere, good wine. BUT, save your pennies - very expensive!
