Amazing food in a nice setting. Surprisingly diverse menu and very good quality meal. Definitely a place to go and decent bar.

The dining room part of the restaurant is lovely but a bit pricey and the food inspired. The bar, however, makes good drinks and the bar food is good.
If you want that place to celebrate or enjoy a larger group of friends, this is the spot. The menu is thoughtful, the bar also well-stocked and thoughtful and the wait staff is friendly. It is not a place I would travel to eat at, but it has hosted many a great time with friends.
My wife and I enjoyed our birthday dinner here while visiting Vermont in April. We were not disappointed. The food was fabulous and the drinks were delicious. We sat in the bar but the bartender was an incredible waiter and his drink recommendations were spot on. The entire restaurant had a cool vibe to it, parking was plentiful and I... More

Expected one thing, was blown away by this place!! The food was exceptional, the service (Amara?, not sure of spelling), OUTSTANDING! Being a chef, I am constantly disappointed by lackluster food and underwhelming service. THis place had NEITHER, the food (other than desert) was on point, fresh, inventive, meticulously prepared, served with grace, and a genuine smile. This place is... More
Baliwicks is one of the few fine dining restaurants in the Northeast Kingdom. I have dined there several times over the past few years as a guest of others. It is not a restaurant that I would choose myself. They have very good service, and good quality, well prepared food, Unfortunately it is completely unimaginative and overpriced. If I am... More
Very expensive, but if you are willing to spend $25 a plate I'd say it's worth it! I've had a bunch of stuff here and it was all great. Scampi, burgers, fish, all good stuff
Discovered this place when another old favorite was closed. Can't believe it took this long. Now it's become a favorite. Exceptional appetizers including excellent calamari, with olives, peppers, and sizzle, and an update on classic Moules Frites. The aforementioned mussels with bacon jam, white wine and crispy fries are Capital D elicious! Good salads and excellent mains. The spousal unit... More

I was a little concerned this restaurant was being too aggressive with their menu, but they absolutely delivered. The Ahi Tuna was a sushi dinner without the sushi! Quality, presentation, and taste were superb. My wife had the Cajun chicken pasta - very different taste, but another home run. I would return anytime. Highly recommended.
Good afternoon Bob! just wanted to reach out and thank you for giving us a 5 bubble shout out! We truly appreciate you taking the time to review us, and we look forward to your patronage when you're in the neighborhood again! Cheers, Stacey More
I have eaten here several times, usually in the dining room. Food is always yummy and perfectly portioned and beautifully presented. Delicious deserts too!
