We headed to St Johnsbury to get lunch on our way to Burlington from North Conway. We were heading to a different eatery recommended on Trip Adviser which had closed down, but having passed Antony's on the way there, decided to eat there instead. My husband had the recommended Woodsman Burger which he said was very good. All the other... More

We had travelled backroads from Brattleboro and were tired and hungry. Anthony's was on our innkeeper's list of places to eat. In the mood for hot and filling we went down the hill for an early dinner and were not disappointed. I had the hot turkey sandwich and my husband the liver, onions and bacon. Both came with homemade mashed... More

Anthony's is a local institution. Always spotlessly clean with the best breakfast and burgers in town. Wonderful, friendly, efficient waitstaff with enough choices on the menu to keep everyone happy...except perhaps the vegans in the neighborhood. The regulars sit at the counter where the local newspaper is always handy. and the rest of us always take a booth. One does... More

This is pretty good diner food. I was a little surprised you had to pay an extra $2.50 for real maple syrup in Vermont, but I paid it because I love real maple syrup. There's not a lot of options for breakfast in St. Johnsbury so we ate here every morning.

Two breakfasts and one dinner here in a two night stay in St Johnsbury. It's got all the pluses of a good American diner: a warm welcome; plenty of choice, but not so much that they stray from what they are good at; quick service and good value. Beef liver for dinner, eggs etc for breakfast, and blueberry pancakes (separately).

This is a charming locally owned and operated diner. A large central counter where the local guys meet and laugh. Just delightful. Prices amazing. Food great! Bottomless cup of joe. Are you kidding me! My sister had breakfast, I bought and tipped (20%) for 10 dollars. WOW.

Housed in a fairly new building, this restaurant offers clean and well prepared food. We had breakfast. The service was fast and efficient with easy parking.

This is a North Country diner, not a New York City diner. The menu is not the page upon page diner menu seen elsewhere. Rather, it is small and simple. The food is very inexpensive and reasonably good. Service is friendly and attentive and the restaurant is very clean. Would dine here again.

What a nice local restaurant. The food was fresh, fast and tasty. The service was friendly. Portions were more than ample. The Woodsman Burger is a local favorite. The sweet potato fries were excellent. Many desserts including at least a half dozen fresh pies.

While traveling through Vermont, we decided that we were starting to get hungry for lunch. You don't have many choices while driving through this area, but we got lucky with this restaurant. I had a Rostie (Roast Beef with lettuce, tomato and cheese); although I could have used much less mayo. My husband had a Rostie Deluxe (same sandwich with... More
