Good, fresh food. Great coffee. Really nice people. Cozy, charismatic environment. Big case full of pastries, sandwiches to order, and a book shop to boot. Outside seating too.

Read a book while you eat. Buy it when you're done. Meals are great as are drinks and pastries. Highly recommended by locals and travelers alike.

The bookstore has a small selection with some interesting titles spread out in several different rooms. The real draw is the coffee, tea, and baked goods. This is a pleasant spot to settle in for a hot drink and a snack and, maybe, to read...More

Walls and walls of books -- newer, vintage, interesting titles. Great coffee and breakfast sandwiches in a comfortable setting. Only regret is that we forgot to top of an afternoon by returning for a spiked coffee.

Loved our stop for breakfast. Super nice and friendly folks...funky clutter in an old house filled with wonderful books and art...varied menu. We started to leave noting the crowded nature of leaf-peepers like us seeking food, but a local leaving said, "Stay...its worth the wait!"...More

One of the better bakery cafes in Vermont and Vermont has many. Awesome cafe with good local coffee and too notch local organic Stratford creamery dairy is hard to beat. This place is the real deal amid an increasingly expensive food economy where many vendors...More
