Food was very good. Ribeye and burgers cooked to order and very tasty. Mozzarella salad overdressed but brussel sprouts were delicious. Service was poor from when we walked in til we left. The hostess took a long time to greet us and had to re-ask...More

Went with my wife to celebrate 1 month of marriage. Place was highly recommended. We made reservations and told them we'd like to sit outside. When we arrived they placed us inside with no mention of outdoor seating. We were the only table in our...More

This was our second attempt in the last two years to try out the Taconic's restaurant, The Copper Grouse. Last time we stopped in the waitress was extremely rude. This visit we were escorted out to the patio by the manager? Ten minutes later we...More

We are very sorry to hear you had such a poor experience. Perfect service is something you should expect from a Kimpton property and we certainly did not provide that. We hope you do not let this experience ruin any future attempts at dining with...More

Had dinner with a friend. We had the salmon and the scallop entrees. The scallops had roasted cauliflower and Brussels sprouts. The scallops were seared and tasty. The salmon was very moist and a more generous portion than the scallops. Enjoyed the new menu.

We ate here twice during a quick overnight stay in Vermont (at the Taconic which we love). When we noticed the Copper Grouse had switched from a Californian Sauvignon Blanc to a Marlborough, New Zealand SB (as any true Sauvignon Blanc lover prefers), we changed...More

Warm, comfortable setting, might be good for drinks and snacks, but go elsewhere for dinner. I ordered the filet medium rare. I cut into it while the waitress was still there and found it to be well done. Waitress agreed to correct the problem, however,...More

We are very sorry to hear you had such a poor experience. It is completely unacceptable how the waitress responded to your issue with the Filet and we will certainly speak with the staff to ensure this never happens again. We hope you will give...More

A lovely dinner with a tremendous view on the front deck. From the friendly and informative bartender, to the excellent service of our waiter at dinner, and the quality of the food, it was truly a memorable evening.

We enjoyed organic greens as the sun began to set. My wife enjoyed the New England clam chowder and the local beet tenderloin was outstanding. Wine list was ok and we finished with one last glass around the fire pit seating area. Beautiful property.

Was staying nearby and decided to check out this place. I’m generally very leery of eating a in-house hotel restaurants. They tend to be pricey and hit or miss. The decor is very nicely done. Dark woods and lodge like color patterns with an artistic...More
