I ordered a turkey guacamole Panini. It was very good. The restaurant is small. There is parking in a lot a short walk away. We sat by the window looking a the brook. It was relaxing and pleasant. The choices were tempting for sandwiches, salads and breakfast items. The Works Bakery Café is not fancy by any means but has... More

We are so happy that you had a good time at The Works! The turkey guac panini is one of our favorites on the menu. Good fresh food and bread made from simple, wholesome ingredients and classic baking techniques (no steaming, only proofing and boiling and baking!). We can't wait to serve you again. Stopped here years ago for a breakfast sandwich, it was great returned many times for both lunch and breakfast. All very good. Fresh breads and bagels. Home made soups. Parking can be tough.

Thanks so much, Peter! We put a lot of love into our bagels (though only 5 ingredients mixed, proofed, boiled and baked the old-fashioned way!). We can't wait to see you again--Becky K for The Works More

Just went here for lunch today. Had the corn chowder and it was SO yummy. Perfect cream based soup and not TOO creamy. Tasted very fresh but I added a little salt to it cause I'm a salt-aholic. Just great!

Stopped by just to pick up bagels for breakfast and found a great assortment! The Works (everything) bagels are wonderful, especially with the bacon & scallion cream cheese! Brought the remainder home to family who demolish nearly a dozen. Will stop the next time in the area and maybe get a few more not to share :-)

Yay for the wonderful discovery! We use just 5 ingredients (unbleached unbromated flour, water, yeast, salt, and malt syrup) and then mix, proof, boil and bake the old-fashioned way. And we mix the cream cheeses in-house. Yes, do stop in any time you're in town. We can't wait to serve you again! Becky K for The Works More

The Works is a hang out for the locals in Manchester. It s always busy, but not overcrowded. They have a good selection of bagels and while they are a bit fat, they are very tasty. Worth a stop if you are in town.

Thank you so much, Nathaniel! It's great to read your review. Our bagels are made the old-fashioned way (just 5 pure ingredients, overnight proofing, boiling and baking). Fatter bagel equals more tastiness?? :) Thanks, Becky K for The Works More

We came down from northern Vermont for the day, with family, to shop and our brother-in-law spotted this place for a quick bite. We were not disappointed. My husband and I had a pesto, cheese and artichoke pannini which was on great bread and generous with the fillings. It was also a generous serving. The menu of other items included... More

Good spot to pick up lunch and then take it to a park. They have a nice selection of sandwiches and salads. Their help needs some help in coordination, and it moves a bit slow for a take-out shop. Bur the end product was good for a light lunch

Wanted to have something healthy, saw this place on trip advisor, and gave it a try, so glad I did, great coffee and great bagel. The people working there are so incredibly friendly. If I lived here I'd go there every morning! Go, you won't be disappointed.
