This renovated '40s diner was fun. Stopped for a late dinner on way to our hotel and ended up having a great breakfast of corned beef hash and eggs, pancakes, etc. Ordered way too much so didn't get to try any of the diner classic cream pies. Would definitely go again.

Excellent food at a fair price!! Clean, friendly and upbeat atmosphere. Like to hang with university students? This place has them! Enjoy!

Have eaten here in the past while visiting local relatives. Normally, as with this visit, we stopped for breakfast. We ordered omelettes and french toast with coffee, sausage/bacon. Although we did not complain to ownership, not really a justified reason to do so, there was just something amiss in the service and the preparation/presentation of our selections. All items were... Worst experience at a restaurant as an avid traveler and foodie. I’m a local and supportive customer that has had good meals in the past at Birdseye but this morning has caused me to never want to go back again. Although the service was quite slow to start that wasn’t the main issue. My friend ordered eggs benny with hard... More

We stopped here for dinner one night while we were camping in the area. The diner itself is adorable, very retro with outdoor seating. We opted for an outdoor table, and our waitress was very friendly. We happened to be there on $5 spaghetti and meatballs night, and that's what one of my children ordered. It wasn't to his liking... After riding more than 5 hours me and my husband stumbled upon this diner. I'm not really a diner person but my husband was hungry and didn't leave me much of a choice. So glad he pulled our little car in! Outdoor seating, beer and truly great people that served or waited on us. The food was awesome. We will... More

I'm at the Birdseye Diner, sitting at a curbside table in the sunshine on a sleepy street. The menu offers the basics, fair prices and my food was super. I had a garden salad and BLT on sourdough bread...nice!

We have eaten here before and have never been disappointed. CLASSIC STAINLESS STEEL DINER FROM THE GOOD YEARS ! Whenever we go to Vermont we always stray from Route 4 to stop here for a bite. We were in Rutland for the National Railroad Historical Society ( NRHS) convention so we went to the Birdseye only 8 miles from the... More
