This place is great for a quickie. It does the job, with properly cooked, medium tastiness, and high pricing. Food is ok -nothing I can't do better- though they have a very unique, almost ethnic tasting home fries. Service was excellent, both friendly and fast. They were unobtrusive, kept coffee/water refilled. The prices were too high ~20%.

My wife and I eat in Burlington quite a bit. We have a Lot of restaurants we like over there. But the one we go to the most is Penny Cluse! Always delicious you can always count on great tasting food. We almost always order the same three items because they're so good! We always order the garlicky kale, the... More

Stopped here after picking up friends at the airport in Burlington. Loved the atmosphere, super friendly and laid back. Our server (male, but sadly don't remember his name), gave us lots of great info on where we could pick up the elusive Heady Topper beer in the area. We ordered a mix of breakfast and lunch dishes, but all six... More

Long lines on weekends. Food is consistently good -- a bit overhyped but good choices for those on particular diets/vegan.

Great atmosphere - a lot of hustle and bustle, but gracious wait staff and hostess. Crowds expected, especially prime breakfast hours. Great food, lots of choices!

Both Trip Advisor and a good friend recommend the Penny Cluse Cafe as THE place to go in Burlington for breakfast/lunch and they were spot on! A warm, welcoming and friendly place with great service and seriously soul-warming food.

I definitely was excited to try the restaurant that was listed pretty consistently as #1 here on TripAdvisor for such a length of time. Overall, I was impressed with how solid of a breakfast/lunch option Penny Cluse is! I could not decide between Biscuits & Gravy or a combination of eggs & bacon, so I did a combination of both... Get there early on a weekend or you will face a 45-60 min wait-which is actually well worth it! Banana bed app, chorizo tacos-OMG it was like a pantene commercial it was soooo good! Kelly was our server and she ROCKEd-attentive in all the right ways! Great way to start our saturday! we have been here a few times now... More
