What a gem! Outstanding service and delicious pub fare! A great stop when strolling the marketplace - the staff was friendly and attentive even with a full house. We shared a salad and buffalo chicken tenders along with yummy chili cheese fries! And the bar drinks were well made, quickly served and the total bill was very reasonable. Hope to... More

We had lunch there this weekend. My daughter asked the waitress what was in the veggie burger. The waitress went to ask. When she came back she told us "all we know is that it is Morningside brand and we through the box out, so we don't know what is in it". A restaurant that uses a frozen veggie burger... More

Stopped here for dinner while I was walking around downtown. I got an outside table which was great for people watching. There is a music school nearby, and there were a few students playing violin in the street. My waitress was very friendly and the burger and sweet potato fries came out perfect.

Stopped in for something to eat. The service was good but the food left something to be desired. We ordered nachos and got them at the same time as our entrees. The nachos were cold, the cheese was hard and they literally had blue chips, cheese, and jalapenos on them. Our entrees were luke warm. The only thing hot were... More

While we were in town for a couple of days, we wanted to go somewhere to watch the NCAA National Championship College Football game (Alabama vs Clemson). Big game! We walked in and were surprised that there were so few people there. But, it was a very cold Monday night, and perhaps Vermonters were not so into college football (?).... More

My wife and I were looking for a simple meal to eat that wasn't pricey so we went to the Church Street Tavern. Service was quick and friendly. We started with beers and an appetizer. We got the buffalo chicken tenders and 2 pints of the tavern ale. Both were delicious. For our entrees, we got the pulled pork sandwich... More

Their outside area is a great place to simply enjoy watching people going about their business as well as enjoying a burger, drinking a beer and taking in a beautiful autumn evening. The food was pretty decent, service was outstanding, beer selection great. Well worth the stop

There are places you remember for a long time -- places that will be on the 'best' list: pasta at Rosa's in Portsmouth NH, lasagna at DaVinci's in Lewiston, ME, and the lobster pot pie at the Kennebunk Inn. We are now able to place the nachos at Church St Tavern on that list. We have had nachos at dozens... More

After being ignored at Vermont Pub and Brewery, I went to Church Street in search of dinner and was not disappointed. Although extremely busy, the staff was very attentive and made the experience a pleasant one. The quality of the food was fine for what it was and the atmosphere was excellent with plenty of tvs around for watching football.... More
