My husband and I wanted to check out the Vermont Country Deli for lunch because it had gotten rave reviews. We drove by once on a Sunday around 12 and had to turn around because there was no parking. We refused to give up on the place, so we came back an hour and a half later. It was still... More

After driving all day we saw the deli and had to go in. We were amazed at the selection of food that one could buy. Needles to say they had something for everyone. Since it was snowing heavily we decided we were buying our dinner there. There were so many items to pick from so we ordered seaweed salad, baked... More

Pulled pork sandwiches with cheddar cheese...delicious and HUGE! Macaroni and cheese is excellent. Potato crusted cod fish, pot stickers, crab and scallops wrapped in sole fish...all sooo good!!

The food is great. There is a large selection to choose from. We have been coming here for many years. The desserts are wonderful, especially the berry pies and apple pies. The mac and cheese is fantastic, delicious prepared foods and soups. Great service. It's a must stop.

I have been stopping here for many years, and just decided to write a long overdue review. This place is just great. Every Vermont trip requires a stop here, to hopefully pickup a pie. Also a great cup of coffee, and a dessert to drive with. I have had their other prepared foods here, as well as sandwiches. You just... More

So many things to choose. It's impossible for someone in your group not to be satisfied. While there isn't table service the food is excellent. Great for take out or a quick bite. It's right off the exit or right before you jump on 91. Go go go it's great.

Everything is very "vermont". Local cheese, maple syrup, great coffee. The prepared food is like soul food, meets hippie food. Try the "Meat Cupcake" and the Mac and Cheese. The sandwiches are reasonably healthy. Somewhere to eat would be nice, but we usually go after snowboarding on the way home.

We found the Vermont Country Deli on Trip Advisor and decided to stop for a bite to eat. So glad we did. Their food was fabulous! Had a terrific sandwich, Mac n cheese n the chili. Wow! On all 3. The Mac n cheese had sausage n onion in it which added to an already great tasting dish. The chili... More

We stopped here because we saw good reviews and wanted to try someplace new for lunch on our drive through Vermont route 9. We were a little disappointed that there was no place to sit and enjoy our sandwiches and giant cookies. It was raining and we ended up finding a place to park and ate in the car. They... More

I went to school in Vermont, and had to drive past the Deli to get to and from home. I now go back several times a year and (luckily) still have to drive past the Deli. It is a pit stop I look forward to every single time. The sandwiches here are amazing (the Thanksgiving one is my personal favorite),... More
