We go to this restaurant often & also get take-out a lot too. It is the best Chinese food around that we have found close to us. It is also affordable. Their new restaurant that they built a few years ago is very nice to go to eat in. Do try their food if you like Chinese.

I've been eating here for over 20 years. Nothing fancy, but fresh, hot Chinese food. Their signature dish is Phoenix chicken. Crispy battered and deep fried then covered with very sweet sauce that you can get hot or mild. The hot is a winter treat. The fried shrimp are tempura and deep fried as well. Lettuce wraps, Peking ribs, sweet... More

Super-Americanized version of Chinese food. Not super tasty at that, you are better off going down the street to Pei Wei. Even Asian Star is a better option.

Chin-Wah has pretty average Chinese food and it's pretty good but my favorite menu item is the ground round dinner. It's in the American menu section. The portion is very generous and comes with grilled onions, gravy, mashed potatoes or rice and a veggie. When I'm not sure what I want for dinner this is my default, and it's always... More

Hadn't been here since last May of this year. Went here with friends from California. I had the letter E meal - sweet and sour chicken (had mine with gravy instead of other sauce), ham fried rice and chicken sub gum chow mein noodles...onions, celery, almonds. All very good. Also had egg rolls and hot and sour soup. You have... More

Our first visit to Chin-Wah was a very good experience. We were seated promptly and a waiter took excellent care of us. I tried the pork chow mien, which I have never had before, and I thought it was fantastic. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the large portions. Also, I was pleasantly surprised by the nice atmosphere of the... More

The location is a bit odd, but once you find the restaurant it is worth while.' I had the Phoenix chicken which was quite good with a nice quick and very flavorful. The wonton soup was better than average.

I agree it is not the best Chinese food in the Salt Lake Valley but but the price and quality are good enough to keep me coming back. My favorite dishes are General Chow's chicken or the almond chicken. I will say their egg drop soup is as good as any in the valley

The food is bland and the service is marginal. No reason to go back. The best thing was the ham fried rice. The egg drop soup tastes like a bag of mixed veggies dump in hot water with a little fried wonton.

It has been years since I have been to Chin Wah. I used to go to their old location and I remembered it being just ok. I figured that since they have invested in a nice new location it would be better. I was wrong. The place does look nicer, but 1985 called and they want their menu back. The... More
