We had lunch there a couple of years ago and were not all that impressed. Last night, friends invited us to join them at the Painted Pony for a dinner celebration. It was pricey. Entrees between $28-$36. We all got the beef tenderloin entrée. $36 for the standard, $32 for the smaller size. Everyone agreed it was excellent. Well trimmed... More

Ok, to be fair, my standards are pretty high. If I hadn't had so many great restaurant experiences I'd rate this place higher. The server was great, friendly and helpful. We started with the bacon wrapped dates. They were fine, but I've had better. The mixed green salad was fantastic. For my entree I ordered the ravioli. They could have... More

The Painted Pony is at the top of our price range ($135 for dinner for 4 not counting drinks or tip) but the service and the food was absolutely excellent. All was tasty and lovingly prepared. Highly recommended for special occasions.

I always trust my fellow Trip Advisor travelers when choosing places to eat or stay. Once again, we were not disappointed. The food was very tasty and service was efficient. It is very clear that the chef takes his business seriously. The coconut shrimp was delightful along with butternut soup. The chicken wrap and the burger were very flavorful. The... More

Had a much needed drink in the roof garden of The Painted Pony on election night. It was my first time, and I loved both the atmosphere - quiet and calm and private and elevated in a peaceful space overlooking Ancestor Square - and the very professional service. We arrived late just as the restaurant was about to close, but... More

My wife and I love to stop in for a leisurely lunch. They are right next to a very nice art gallery. We often have to go downtown for shopping and it's very convenient. I haven't had a bad meal there. The atmosphere is very low-key and comfortable. The waiters and waitresses are very attentive.

This restaurant came highly recommended and we were not disappointed. Food was great as was the service. The steak I had was excellent, although the large portion of brussel sprouts was undercooked and too chewy. Someone at the next table ordered duck which looked excellent.

We had been hiking and was looking for a place to eat on our way back to Las Vegas. I googled restaurants in the area and out of several, just picked it because I liked it's name. Wow, we were so impressed! It was a late lunch, and we ate outside on the patio. Some of us got the turkey... More

After reading reviews we decided to try Painted Pony for lunch. What a great decision that was! It was hard to choose what to have from the menu but our fantastic waiter, Bryce guided us very well. We settled on splitting the Western Patty Melt - DELICIOUS! I also had their freshly made Raspberry Iced Tea which had muddled Raspberries... More
