Visited at lunch and had a very pleasant meal! Good was good and service was pretty good. We really enjoyed dining outside on the patio where were entertained by the resident cat and all the birds. The running creek was nice too!

Was pleasantly pleased with wait staff, food and appearance of the restaurant. If that were it that would have been enough. However, we also met the owner, Sam, who talked about his numerous collection of guns and other regional memorabilia. Again, food, waitstaff, and ambiance was enough to get us to go back. You will not be disappointed! We were... More

There were four of us for lunch, every appetizer and entree was really bad. Everything was under seasoned and extra greasy. I don't know how you screw up tortilla soup. There were very few people there and now I understand why. The menu is very confusing and misleading. I.E. "Entree comes with two sides AND salad or soup. Nope. You... More

I had the Kobe burger, my wife tried the prime rib wrap. Both excellent. The Texas tumble weed onions were nice and crisp. Definately try the quail stuffed avocados. You will become a fan.

Well we have been there four 4 times since the grand opening (not so grand) in the past nine 9 years. This was the last time period. The food and service is bad. Had coconut shrimp, breading was very, very thick, shrimp WAY over cooked and cold. Baked potato was cold. The place is very noisy, decor is ok. We... More

Best ribs in Tyler , fall off the bone delicious. Also great brunch menu on weekends... Beautiful facility, feels like a mountain resort....Been eating here since he opened, and before that years ago as Sam's House of Smoke in Flint-- still delicious!

The atmosphere was great. Very rustic. I spent most of the time looking at everything on the walls; riffles, pictures, fur, etc. Our waiter (I'm so mad I didn't get his name) was very friendly and attentive. The food was great! I hate the skirt steak. It was salty which is what I love! The green beans were amazing. My... More

Visited this restaurant with family because we got lost and came across it and decided to try it because parking lot was full. So we felt it must be popular and good. It was not and don't let the crowded parking lot fool you. For all of the cars outside the place looked empty inside. We asked two of the... More

Rustic atmosphere and decor. Good family menu selections. Prices very reasonable with good service. Grandkids always enjoy visiting here when they are in Tyler.
