You know the saying about how Texans decide where to eat based on the queso? Well, that's true for our family, and theirs wasn't that great. The meal was decent and the staff was friendly. They were understaffed since it was just one girl and about 5 tables, but we weren't in a hurry so it was fine to chill.... More

This Mexican restaurant is located very near the west entrance of the Big Bend National Park - a perfect location for a meal before a after a day in the park. We had breakfast and lunch here - the food is great, like home cooked Mexican food, at very comfortable prices. Beers available.

Popped in here late on a Thursday. No wait for a table. The waitress was Texas friendly. We had guacamole to start. Delist. Then enjoyed bean tostadas and pork tamales. I'm vegetarian and there are many options. It's a cute, hole in the wall type place. They had some cute Mexican embroidered tops for sale.

Breakfast was good, but service was pretty slow. Staffing was minimal, maybe one waitress and one cook. But, the food was good and they didn't overcharge.

We had breakfast here three days in a row while we stayed in the area. Really really good huevos rancheros, Midas, and Mexican plate. Some of the best tamales around!

I had a bean, beef and cheese burrito and it was very good. My husband had chicken tacos and they were okay. The chicken had an unfamiliar flavor.

Had huevos rancheros. Very good. Recommend that you tend toward Tex Mex offerings vs American Breakfast.

A casual little hole in the wall place. Very authentic Mexican food at a reasonable price. Tasty with large portions

Stopped at this restaurant while visiting Big Bend National park and i'm sure that everything was straight out of a can. The service was two steps below mediocre and our waitress looked like my ex-mother-in-law on the morning after pay-day. Please don't waste your money or time here. DRIVE ON

While visiting Big Bend National Park, we have eaten at Chili Pepper for lunch several times and have enjoyed the meals each time. Most recently, I had the tamale plate and my wife had enchiladas. Tasty with just the right about of spice.
